I've never understood how any player 6'10 or better can't get at least 8-10 boards a night if he plays 30 minutes a night. But some guys just aren't apt rebounders despite how big they are. Brook Lopez is another one who has always frustrated me with his lack of rebounding prowess.

BROOK LOPEZ STARTED OFF AS A SOLID REBOUNDER

BUT THEN HE STARTED USING THIS METHOD WHERE HE WOULD BOX OUT HIS OPPONENT AND ALLOW FOR HIS TEAMMATES TO GO AND GRAB THE BOARD AS HE SEALED THEM OFF

Kwame Brown was in the league for 15 years or something. You dudes always exaggerate.

He’s a solid scorer, great blocker, moves smartly etc.

He’s not the designated rebounder so he doesn’t get the easy ones, or else he’d likely be a 10 bpg player

Josh Hart is 6'4" and his career average is 7 rebounds a game. Jaren Jackson Jr doesn't have ONE season in his entire career averaging 7 rebounds a game.
:camby:
Designated rebounder? Rebounding is a team effort.

I don’t know why you keep on pointing out one of the guards most known for his rebounding skills of all times like it’s a bad thing :mjlol:

There’s players that other people clear the floor for when an easy rebound lands. Even more so in modern times where the whole offense is by the perimeter. People with those roles tend to get a bunch of “easy” rebounds per game.

Dude is not a 3x defensive team player because he doesn’t play defense. It’s just a bit more complex than counting rebounds on Wikipedia

you can't be a defensive anchor if you don't rebound :manny: i've always been comfortable saying JJJ is a play pretend center

1. He's not a center
2. He leads the team in blocks, and our defense is noticeably worse when he's off the floor
3. No one cares about labels or antiquated definitions of defense and defensive anchors. As long as the team is doing what it is supposed to collectively we're good. Tony Allen was a great 1 v 1 defensive player for us but over time his deficiencies held the team back. The game is more nuanced than dumb ass critiques show

JJJ got stans :dead:

It's insane that JJJ has haters. Why is there a thread on his rebounding? :mjlol:

He's not that prominent of a player.

:hhh::scust:can't rebound to give his team second chance points and don't defensive rebound
With all that height only 21 double-digit rebound games is disgusting an Inexcusable and dudes are really trying to justify crap with excuses.

He lucky he's in Memphis if he was in LA or NY he would be getting killed. Him & Gobert least impactful defensive players of the year ever:manny:
