And that right there is my problem with the logic behind MVP voting. It seems to shift in order to justify who people want to vote for. One year people will say "It's supposed to go to the best player on the best team" then a year later people say "_____ should clearly win because he's clearly the best player in the league" only for a year after that to say "_____ is clearly the most valuable player on his team because if you removed him that team would be in the bottom of the conference".

Which is why kobe and shaq only have 1 and lebron will win it every year from here on.. no consistency with how they vote

Nah, Kidd deserved that nod in 2002. If you want to go that route then the MVP trophies Steve Nash won should be removed.

How was he robbed? Your giving him much to much credit for a turn around that was more about defense then offense. Kidd was great on D but how much credit can you really give a PG for a teams defense? The nets offense wasnt good that season at all and really struggled in the half court

Duncan was better on both sides of the ball and lead his team to a better record in a MUCH tougher conference. Plus Nash's 05' and 06' Seasons are much better then Kidds so I wouldn't go there

The reason he's saying he was robbed is because the previous year the narrative was that the award should go to the most VALUABLE player and nobody was more valuable to their team that year than Kidd.

Plus you had people openly saying they disqualified Shaq because "You could give it to him every year". People who say shyt like that should be allowed to have a vote. Them and the fukking idiots that openly talk about what winner would make for the best story to writer.

I can't saw enough how much it pisses me of that the media gets sole vote for league MVP. An award that important should be voted on by players, coaches, and GM's in addition to the media.....Hell most of the awards should be done that way so that you don't end up with dumb shyt like the DPOY not making the all defensive first team.

Appreciate everything he did for Dallas in his second stint. Was very entertained by Jason Kidd in Phoenix and New Jersey as well. Easily one of the best pure PGs of all time.
