It really depends though. My whole argument is that if you want to say that Kidd did not deserve it in 2002, then how could Steve Nash possibly have won it back to back? Kidd took the nets...the NEW JERSEY NETS to the finals TWICE. Kenyon Martin and Richard Jefferson should owe Kidd millions for what he did to their career.

Read my earlier post, I already said Kidd deserved to win in 02.

I see it the same way you do, it just pisses me off that the guys who vote for the MVP award have a constantly shifting standard of who should win.

What does the media have to do with Basketball hall of fame voting?
breh the more positive words for you in the media and even more from your peers has a whole lot to do with how things go.

Grant Hill will get in, maybe first ballot too. If he doesn't? The media will start questioning it...fire up debate and convince voters to get him in.

Somebody on Realgm just said that Nash was better than Kidd :comeon:

In no particular order: Magic, Stockton, Zeke, Clyde, Nash, Logo...yeah, that's already 6 who were all better, and we could probably keep going and going.

Kidd is more like top 10-15. Still not too shabby at all, considering how many greats the league has seen at that position. One has to be VERY good even to keep the same company.

Grant Hill is going to get in because of his college career. Not sure if he'll be first ballot though.

You're giving the media WAY too much credit. Even they wouldn't argue that Hill should be inducted solely off his NBA career.

As usual some people choose to ignore Nash's horrific defense.

The only flaw in Kidd's game was his piss poor shooting, but he could still score when he needed to and could run an offense like few in the history of the league could.
