Basketball reasons def set yall back but I also think yall had another intial reset with the Dwight trade which was destroyed by the front ofice. As corny as he is/was he was a standard piece in gaining free agents. Management should have sold the franchise to him or at least lied to him so that you guys could have had an foothold for the free agency market. It evidently cause you guys to miss out on every big free agent once the game plan of the team leaked out. I think the Lakers need to do some serious pr with convincing players that it's a legit destination for winning championships Instead of selling the location. Everyone lives in la. Lma and Dwight would have been a great start .
But then you see Dwight in Houston right now and he's not getting resigned. Would it have been a good idea to give the keys to Dwight? LMA didn't resign here for multiple reasons but he said Kobe was the only bright spot of the meetings and they tried to sell him on off the court opportunities which was laughable. LMA wanted to win. Players aren't trying to play with Dwight anymore

I'm pretty sure bad management has fukked the lakers over for the near future, blaming organizational dysfunction on Bryant is a pretty lazy copout but it is Whitlock :yeshrug:
So who do we blame for DHoward and Pau leaving the Lakers? We need to dig up that LWO season thread in the year when the Lakers got DHoward and Steve Nash.

Whitlock was hating on Kobe's 60 but lets keep it at that:whoa:

Where's the long version of that at? Dude literally went off/hated on Kobe for like two hours straight. Even that white girl that co-host the Herd Show was like:lupe:

He's not that wrong. Kobe salary is major obstacle in helping build the Lakers imo.
That's fine. But to suggest that Kobe by his lonesome is responsible for the Lakers current situation is incorrect and lazy at best.

There are far more things that have gone into it includong vetoed trades, injuries, bad coaching hires, and the front office's lack of foresight into how the NBA game is evolving.

Set them back? How do you say that while ignoring the body of work that he left them with? :mindblown:

Excuse me NYC Rebel I heard at your job you are the top performer out of all employees at your job. Not only that but you have made the company you work for 100s of millions of dollars.

:ufdup:based on this information I believe you have set the company back decades....:troll:

His body of work has nothing to do with the franchises current make up. Lakers should be in the same place the spurs are currently in. Instead they invested in a player over the franchise which is fine i suppose . As a fan of kobe you probably appreciate that.

I criticized the Kobe contract from jump.

But unlike you, I don't blame players for signing contracts they were offered. I correctly blamed Buss.

Blame Kobe for signing a $40 million contract handed to him by the dumb org hiding behind his retirement tour, brehs.

Dumb shyt.

Blame management

Dwight is expendable, the problem is the Lakers weren't trying to mold a team at all. instead only trying to overpay big free agents, it's the old way of building a team. Players want to win, my argument is Dwight would have looked better than what yall have now.
