I was gonna say cap then I remembered the only time I’ve seen him was on the co-headline tour when he came to Detroit with Eminem.

Bringing Jay’s name into the discussion is going to make Bomani’s take more controversial than it really is. In the history of rap there’s a very small handful of rappers in their prime that could do a stadium tour on their own. Rap as a genre doesn’t lend itself to stadium tours by a single act. If you use Jay as an example the majority of his songs that would perform well at a stadium show have another artist featured on it. There aren’t a lot of solo songs that are “stadium status” in his catalogue.

Also, stadium tours require mass appeal across multiple demographics. That’s why country and pop acts are so successful when it comes to stadium events. You can take the whole family from little kids to the grandparents. Rap shows don’t have that same universal appeal.

Hov does like to link wit other big stars for big stadium shows/tours. Eminem Beyonce Kanye Justin Timberlake dmx 50 cent. I never seen him do too many stadiums dolo outside of ny. Google Jay z stadium tour ... Justin Timberlake pops up first followed by Beyonce. Bomani has a point.

The year 3030
Have you been to a Hov concert in the last decade. If his crowd was just old nikkas he wouldn't have done multiple arena tours. It's full of white people, kids, hoes, black people, etc.

Drake can sell out SoFi too btw. So could Kanye (pre-Nazi/insanity shyt lol).
i can confirm this..sis got me tix to Hov in 2013 at the SAP center...and while waiting in line the woman in front of me was a white ass mom and her two young ass daughters...this was not some bey and hov tour, this was hov dolo :russ:

shyt kinda weirded me out

Yeah, I don't get. But its not for me to get. I don't get Beyonce either. Like whats 5 songs these bishes got that jist rock the stadium?
Breh....Beyonce has hits going back to the 90's with DC to having a huge viral hit with "Cuff It" right now.

Beyonce may not have a trillion hits and features like Drake and Rihanna but she still has plenty for a stadium show and she has the production and performance to back it up.

Metallica hasn't had a real hit since Pac died but they're still able to sell out stadiums just off the strength of their live shows and dedicated fans.

50 is touring arenas in the United States. Look at his tour dates. Not Stadiums.
Drake was touring arenas as well.
I agree that 50 couldn't do it in the States.

But 50 has already sold out stadiums overseas including in Greece and Armenia last year.

And he did a full blown stadium tour in Australia back in 2019 with back to back shows.

Overseas, 50, Eminem, and Drake are the only rappers I can see doing actual stadiums. Others would need assistance.

In America, I can only see Eminem, Drake, and a redeemed Kanye pulling it off. Jay doesn't resonate with White America and places outside the East Coast enough to pull it off and one of his shows in Fresno flopped like crazy in Fresno during 4:44.

He can easily sell out arenas though cause there's enough casual rap fans and Jay fans that can fill that up and his classic emceeing style of performance that doesn't go too crazy with the production and theatrics will suit an arena way more than a stadium.
