The club bangers was the only point you had and only then because he didn't try to do them 90% of the time.
He didn't visit the radio stations that often but he had tons of airplay in Hot 97 and Power 105.1.
Had older cousins that were hip-hop heads since the 90's and they would put shyt like Guilty Conscience, Till I Collapse, Soldier in their mix CD's back then. I've heard Em more than a few times out in cars when I visited my uncles up in Jersey City.
Jay being more visible is one thing but let's not act like Em didn't have hip hops ear for a good amount of time back then either. Cut the revisionist crap.
its not revisinist for the most part both of them didn't do a lot of interviews and still don't. they dont be on breakfast club and sway and makin the rounds they chill and every once and a while pop their heads up and when they do cats usually listen and hope they spit somethin.
Til I collapse is dope, I'll give you that, I can't remember Em's verses too much I know he killed it, I do remember 50 gliding on that shyt though, You never had a gun on ya waist or blood on your shoes cause nikka went and said the wrong shyt to you homie you aint been through what i been through, you not like me, and im not like you. I'm an animal with it when I spit it it's crazy......"
Jay had the clubs, the party songs, (fiesta remix),he had the streets, he had the deep cuts, the introspective cuts, storytelling joints, shyt that the ladies like. Em had hits, he had songs aint nobody pretending he's completely wack but he's not touching Jay.
