He's off beat a few times on 4:44. He has a few tracks on EIL that are cool but overall it's rather forgettable imo. The more important thing about the album to me is that it shows he has improved rapping over trap beats. I thought MCHG was trash and featured some pretty bad attempts at trap rap. Fast forward to 2018 and he's doing it better than all of his 1990s peers.

i always have a high regard for rappers who can perform their sets without backup vocals. Hov's done that his entire career. His delivery and raps may not be peak form, but his performance ability is unbeatable now
