Jay's verse started off a lil erratic but was better.I believe nas was intimidated that the guy who publicly humiliated him was on his album and song his verse was basic and sub par
Jay murdered nas on his own shyt.Dope song

lost? That Ether still burns

like get outta here
a body wasnt caught by anyone on this track, but Jay verse obviously tops Nas'.there aint no way Nas verse was better![]()
you gotta really be a nas stan or hate Jay-Z to even say that shyt. Nas is a billion times the rapper Jay-Z has ever been, I truly believe that. Nas is just nicer than Jay. Period. BUT ON THIS TRACk...THIS TRACK..no way did Nas body Jay-Zlike get outta here
dont get it twisted, Jay didn't body Nas eithera body wasnt caught by anyone on this track, but Jay verse obviously tops Nas'.

What makes Jay's verse stand out more to you? My thing is it seemed like he was rapping on a subject matter that was different to theme of the track. Like when I heard it I was like "Is this some metaphor for his relationship with Dame? Cause he was talking about someone?" and it kinda went on and on.

Jay had more presence on the track and rapped a little longer.. its a tie.
I remember hearing that track for the first time..the godfather sample had me like![]()
nobody got bodied..it was/is a win for hip hop..and it would be an ever bigger win if they dropped a full album together.

Obvious troll is obvious
You still mad Jaylost? That Ether still burns
*plays "Burn baby burn"*

That "diss" filled with nothing but elementary jokes?![]()
That and it paints a vivid picture of the politics of the street and gives you the motivation of what tears up the relationship he has. Jay very strongly shows the power of money in his verse and what that thats what turns him into the "villain" or the black republican...which then sets us up for
"the black militant" of the song whiich is where Nas comes in in which they were once on the same side but according to Jay's verse jealousy and envy has caused him want to "take over the govt" and money has caused Jay to become obsessed with power
Thats how I look at it anyways![]()
I was with you until you tried to make it seem like Nas was the villian on his own song lol
