RD is the most forced classic debut I’ve ever seen. That shyt was alright but didn’t have the same impact as his peers that he wants everyone to believe. His only classics are BP and BA. Everything else is mediocre to trash. Most overrated artist ever

Jay the only rapper ever to get a pass on an album with a lot of filler that others would get killed for. Speaking on volume 1 and BP3 specifically. Yes volume 1 has some all time great Jay tracks but it has some of the worst Jay tracks in his discography. I think he placed it properly in his rankings.

Well I’d take just the good tracks off Vol I over the body of work that is Magna Carter

Who am I to say otherwise but I would rank vol 1 over 2. Sunshine is bad but the highs on that album are way better.

I listened to American Gangster all the way through a few weeks ago and its still just as great when it dropped, maybe even better. It held up incredibly well, much better than his earlier work.

I'll put BP1 and Black Album to round out the top 3. RD is good but that wasn't Jay at his best IMO.
