:banderas:If this dude comes back and lights it up when he gets his chance. This offense is pretty simple. Kap has all the tools to run it. Everybody keeps harping on Gabbert being more accurate but i dont see it. He's no threat as a zone read so the defense just shortens the field which kills Los in the run game. We need Kap to run this shyt.

In chips most recent press conference he said basically that people are asking why Kaep isn't qb 1 , it's because he isn't 100% back to his playing weight.

Once Kaep is back to 225 lbs and is ready to go he'll be in. I say 2 more games max

Problem is we really have no playmakers. If they can't get open then he won't be doing much out there.

There's been plenty of time that players were open and the ball was thrown in the dirt. If anything, defense will have a bit more respect for him, hopefully it will open up for Hyde as well

Some on the 9er board blaming Chip :scust:

Our receivers have always struggled against Seattle but so has most of the offense.

Struggle or not, there not even trying to throw it downfield which is 100 times worse

You got smith who is fast, he should get at least 3-4 50 yard bombs per game. He was top of the league in defensive pass interference in Balt. I understand not throwing deep cause the pass protection was azz cheeks last year but you don't have that excuse this year

Throwing short of sticks on third down is plain quitting, take a fuking sack instead cause at least your trying to throw beyond the sticks

This a timid pu$$y offense, do you expect to score playing scared?

its only been 3 games against tough defenses, but so far chips offensive play design is far from inspiring

people always like to rag on chryst, but from film standpoint so far, chips play play design is worse than chrysts :manny:

chips bread and butter (inside zone runs, quick decision/passes with tiring pace) arent working. his plays are very vanilla/simple and rely on perfect execution. which is fine if you have patriots offense, but with subpar talent the offensive genius coaching needs to show up.

the only good thing on offense has been oline pass blocking. our run game is going nowhere and pass game is pure trash. again, we faced some tough defenses, so theres still time, but so far not impressed much with chip. once again, we win or lose with defense. offense isnt even a factor.

you can have a solid offense without throwing downfield; you just need good play design.

case in point- andy reid. now, alex smith is a better version of gabbert, but we all know he isnt airing it out like a madman. they also have more weapons, but still...there are literally dozens of short slants/screens/plays to RB in reids playbook. defenses know they wont be challenged deep much. and yet they still give up points.

concepts and plays dont have to be predictable... even if lets say the average travel of pass is the same

I'm not all that inspired by either of them but willing to give Chip more of a shot than Chryst. We're lacking a lot of telent on offense IMO....LIne is good, that's about it.

well offense looked way better last year with chryst and gabbert with same weapons minus hyde and an old boldin. we are missing q no doubt, but I dont know...again, I just hope this changes vs shytty defenses and possibly when kaep is back. but Im not exactly encouraged by what is called in terms of plays. we dont have talent or execution, so we need some unpredictability on playcalls. they are as plain as vanilla tho and get re-used too much. shyt is too simple and too predictable. cant afford that when we have shytty execution and little talent.
