Jeezy and Nas got the best evolutions in hip hop, 🫡. Grown men. The fact this is gonna be dispersed to peanut brained, forever 17 year old people who will hate it and attack him…for speaking non-ignorantly. Salute to Jeezy

This is why we need nikkaz like this in hip-hop. This is why I don’t like when the old nikkaz try and act like the young nikkaz because you suppose to be the evolution from the young shyt that can help
some these young nikkaz. To me the mainos and Jim jones are the wack nikkaz. Trying desperately to appease the young nikkaz when they should be at the teacher status.

its 2025 and folks still believe in the "record labels force black men to make vulgar music" conspiracy :beli:

The people want violence so it makes money...
its that simple.

Jeezy is just trying to come off as deep talking to a preacher.
The people want whatever is marketed most to them. If it was positivity then it would become what people wanted. It’s how marketing works

Street c00n rappers talk about that stuff on their independent mixtapes way before they even get a label’s attention :unimpressed:
Yeah it's what they get signed for. It's crazy people think labels are pushing for artists to experiment outside the box of what they were signed to create. Once again it's another example of people trying to blame a corporation they are giving money to about the content they put out to purchase. Corps will never act ethically unless FORCED TO. If we want it to change we have to PAY to see and hear artists that talk about other things. But you wont get this because a good chunk of the base paying is white people who like this imagery too. We listen because it's too close to lived experiences for some of us. They listen because they like the idea of it.

thats not how it works in the internet age.

labels are in it to make money...
they dont care how the money is made.

they arent going to pass up making money just to "keep the black man down"...
if positivity made money they would push it.

the music catches on in the streets/internet first...
and then labels put money behind it.

once a trend is created they find copycats...
but it always starts organically.

we gotta stop making everyone a victim...
people eat shytty food because it taste good...
violence and sex have always been easy topics that get the crowds excited.

There is tons of positive media thats marketed and pushed..
why dont people gravitate towards it?
