AFTER HE'S MADE HIS MONEY!!! That nikka is the same age as me. You don't think he knew in his 30s going into his 40s that his music was wrong? Stop making excuses for these guys. If you don't complain about the BS when you're on top and contributing to it, don't complain about it when you're not the hot artist. Simple as that. He could have made a difference when he was on top!! As for fronting, I assume you've never read my hip hop posts. I've never in my life bought or listened to a Jeezy album. I always thought this nikka was garbage. What happened is that I finally listened to his debut 2 years ago when guys from a podcast suggested I should hear it. I picked a day and listened to it and thought it was decent. Not my cup of tea, but it was good. But trust me, I NEVER listened to any Jeezy, Gucci, Future, etc... If you don't believe that, then you obviously have never read any of my posts. I was 28 years old when he dropped., Do you really believe I was out here listening to that???
I remember this video.
Wise is powerful and a well spoken intellectual.
Very direct, confident and influential in his speech.

Jeezy hanging out the coupe and let it ride sideways.Street c00n rappers talk about that stuff on their independent mixtapes way before they even get a label’s attention![]()
Jeezy was also 28 when that album dropped, so there actually wouldn’t be a problem if you were listening to that. Now if you’re the same age as Jeezy and you’re listening to NBA Youngboy and his current peers now, THAT’S a problemAFTER HE'S MADE HIS MONEY!!! That nikka is the same age as me. This is a one sided argumentThe people want whatever is marketed most to them. If it was positivity then it would become what people wanted. It’s how marketing works
Drill died with King Von to be honest. And even when it was having motion the overwhelming majority of them nikkas were unsignedWhat you say is true but that also the problem. Its deeper than rap. America thrives on violence and sex.
Goodfellas, Godfather, Breaking Bad all peak American entertainment. Aint a black person involved in none of that shyt.
If you find one post on this site of me talking about buying or listening to Jeezy or trash azz young boy, I will personally send you $2k cash app right now. Two years ago is the first time I EVER heard 101 and I did that for a podcast. Other than that, the whole trap genre is azz to me.Jeezy was also 28 when that album dropped, so there actually wouldn’t be a problem if you were listening to that. That's really the main issue
I've been watching a lot of these CEO conferences lately and it's insane watching how utopian they get about the future while they push their bullshytAFTER HE'S MADE HIS MONEY!!! you know, you could do a lot to solve poverty and hunger right now. Ain't you worth $300 billion dollars?"
Nikka knew what he was doing
This...man im tired of this shyt. We're 50+ years into rap we need to let go of that victim mentality and take our shyt back.
Labels can only put out and monetize of the shyt you record so stop killing nikkas on records and it'll stop being the popular subject. There's millions of ways of getting your music out and becoming successful without labels who is just a bank operating like a check cashing place.
The worst thing of it all is that we are underestimating the power we hold in all of entertainment. Black artists drive trends so we can make anything we want popular.
Is it a possibility that maybe those party music rappers shaved their heads and adopted a rougher sound to fit in did it because that shyt was poppin? Any possibility? This isn't a conspiracy theory....
80s were one of the most violent decades during crack epidemic and rappers back then rapped about what they wanted and you'd barely ever hear ignorant lyrics about selling drugs like it's a cool thing, shooting another man, etc. Some people do want violence, but rapping didn't start as some violence glorification, read the history.
Fast forward to early 90s, rapping reaches bigger audience and all of a sudden a lot of positive thinking artists are being pushed little by little to the side and new rough hardcore artists are being promoted as the new trend. Even some of the artists who used to make innocent party music from back in the 80s then shaved their head, adopted a rougher sounding style to fit in there, etc.
And it's not just Hip-Hop, Rock music also saw an increase of dark emo lyrics in the 90s, all that antisocial bullshyt with lyrics about them being on the verge of crashing out in life, etc.
It's not like humanity all of a sudden decided "Hey let's start making more violent music cause it's cool!"
Today's rappers don't even need to get paid to rap ignorant shyt because they grew up in the days when that type of style was considered a trend.
