:russ: at dude saying tupac’s rhymes were elementary.

you don’t have to be complex, which pac wasn’t, to write deep and emotionally profound lyrics.

there was nothing elementary or basic about his lyrics.

1. Reducing complexity to lyric structure doesn't make sense. 2Pac was more complex than Canibus, despite the latter being your typical lyrical miracle rapper.

2. Again, 2Pac knew his way around a mic (pause). He didn't dumb down his lyrics like Jay-Z did between Reasonable Doubt and the Blueprint. He used the words that were appropriate for the setting and sometimes they were complex.

Yall be very vague about this type of shyt. What make Nas more "complex" than Pc? Or rather, what makes Pac less "complex" than Nas? 50 Cent said the same dumbass shyt he couldn't have been more wrong.

Next you'll ask me what makes Nas more complex than Jeezy :mjlol:

We could waste time creating a very precise definition of "complex". Or we could use our ears and understand, in terms of lyrical complexity, the difference between a Reasonable Doubt and Vol 3. Or the difference between Nas and 2Pac. Or 2Pac and Jeezy/Gucci. There is a noticeable difference. If you're not playing dumb we could go into detail.

Jeezy is better than most of the trash out today. He brings out the energy in his songs.

:whew: dude made that music to work on abs, flip pies, flip burgers, and just get up get out and get something.

It's not even the drug raps, dude just has this unique cadence on the mic like a general telling soldiers to fight.

Sure his rhymes were elementary, but his mic presence and persona makes you look over his basic shyt. Hence why I can go back and listen to TM101 top to bottom because the energy aged like the finest of wines.
