Failure is not a option
Ross did a lot of that on his own. Def Jam gave him:
I Love My B******
You The Boss
Touch N You (w/ a video)
So Sophisticated (w/ a video)
Hold Me Back (w/ a video)
Diced Pineapples (w/ a video)
Ross on his own had:
2 MMG projects
2 major mixtapes which spawned "9 Piece", "Rich Forever", and "Stay Schemin'".
those cheap SpliffTv videos
a look from Rollingstone
vs.
Def Jam gave Jeezy:
Lose My Mind (w/ a video)
All White Everything (w/ a video)
Jizzle
Ballin' (w/ a video)
Shake Life
FAME (w/ a video)
I Do
Super Freak (w/ a video)
Leave You Alone (w/ a video)
Jeezy had more singles and videos. Yes, I know Jeezy's album was pushed back, but so was Ross's. Besides, Def Jam backed promo is still Def Jam backed promo. I don't really recall them doing all that for an artist regardless of the pushbacks. The difference is they gave Jeezy everything but a release date up until 12/2011.
i give you dap for a intelligent argument breh but i still disagree. ross was given a open extensive budget and promo since 50 exposed him and the whole babymamaz thing to combat that. that budget has glaringly been clearly thrown in the bushes since gfid expectations and ross's expected career ascension fell flat. def jam after spending all that money wanted results and trust me they aint happy because the ends has not justified the means. as you see its a real difference now in ross/mmg promotion and buzz...jeezy during his last album didnt have that backing ross had, in the real world that was glaringly apparent wether u see it or not. people talking like ross got some buzz now but mmg pretty much one foot in the grave. people dont really even know about the last mmg album or cared and ross new album has minimal to zero buzz even with the constant payola. its gonna be comedy on here if jeezy outsells this nikka again somehow
