Jeezy had way more promo, but less hype. Jeezy possibly had more singles, videos, and magazine covers going into TM103 than Ross had total for GFID. Off top Jeezy had two XXL covers, 6-7 singles ("Lose My Mind", "All White Everything", "Jizzle", "Ballin", "Shake Life", "F.A.M.E." and "I Do") and they all except ("Shake Life", "All White Everything" and "I Do") had videos. He also had more mixta"pes.
i don't know about promo, but Ross had magazine covers, two major label promoted MMG project, a heavily promoted mixtape, singles ("Rich Forever", "So Sophisticated", "Stay Scheming", "You the boss", "I Love my bytches", "Touch'n you", "Diced Pineapples", "Hold me back" and "9 Piece"). Of which about 66.666..% came out before the albums release date.
Jeezy started releasing songs about 22 months before the album came out if we are going by his "non-album singles", so it's kinda obvious that those 22 months were gonna contain a few singles.

I don't think Jeezy had a big promo btw, people thought he was gonna do 100k cause the album had no "media buzz".

GODDAMN must I explain EVERYTHING to you nikkas:stopitslime::stopitslime::stopitslime::stopitslime:

Getting tired of this....:troll:

I don't give a fukk if Jeezy outsold Ross by 200,000 Units.... Thats a measly $2.5 million more gross dollars that still needs to get taxed and sliced about 10 ways:lolbron::lolbron:

fukkin CHUMP change....

If you look, the answer is not too far from you:

-Singles sales
-Merchandise
-Tours
-Anything else that might come with a 360 deal ross might have
-Lets not forget, Ross outright makes the Label hot... ESPN could get more viewers with 30 for 30 than First Take (not that it does), but if First Take is pulling in more buzz and building the brand of the Channel:yeshrug:

Oh, on top of all that, lets not forget: Wale / Meek Mill / Compilation Albums / The potential to sign more hot artists that could blow up...

Def Jam standing behind Ross even if he sold less than Jeezy is of course do partially that he has a WHOLE LABEL bringing in money..... Current hot artists and potential to sign more...

Last time I checked, last time Jeezy made hottest MC's in the game was 2009 at #7.....

Last time I checked:

Ross was #5 in 2010, #1 in 2011, #3 2012
Meek Mill #7 2011, #10 2012
Wale #10 2011

:ohhh::ohhh::ohhh::ohhh:

Well Whada ya Know:gladbron::gladbron::gladbron::gladbron: ............ Ross's Label, including himself, has had 3 ARTISTS make the list since 2011.... When jeezy hasn't made it since 2009
:whoo:...... Ross being the Head of the Snake, if he stays alive, the label stays alive... So it behooves Def Jam to keep him as relevant as possible....

Understand a little better now? The nikka aint hot, he BEEN fell off..... Ross LABEL is bringing in them Dollas, UNGH, and U.O.E.N.O it...

(ps I despise Ross cus I was a big 50 fan and Despise Jeezy cus I'm a gucci fan... I actually like jeezy a lil more cus he aint blatantly fake.... but it is what it is mane:manny:)

Lose My Mind was the original lead single for TM103, all the others came after the pushbacks (don't forget it peaked at 35 on billboard top 100, 5 on rap/hip hop).
Album might've went platinum without the first pushback, Lose My Mind was that big at the time.

I don't know why nikkas saying Ross had so much more promotion. To me it seemed like Ross did alot of self promotion for himself and MMG, everytime you see Ross which is often, he is promoting something. Jeezy not so much.

I mean I barely even see Jeezy interviews

Most of those Ross songs were songs weren't from Def Jam though. "Rich Forever", "9 Piece", and "Stay Schemin" weren't official. The MMG projects were basically promo for the crew/label and not GFID itself.

GFID, despite Ross's posturing and boasting, was also pushed back (not as much as TM103), but they only released 5 songs before the album. Only three of them had a video. The singles that Jeezy was dropping was for TM103.

Both of them received promo from Def Jam. Jeezy got more promo than Ross. I still think Def Jam played Jeezy because, unlike Ross, a couple of his songs hit ("Lose My Mind" and "Ballin"). For whatever reason they didn't stick with the dates or they pushed the album back. Personally, I think Def Jam is letting "feelings" get in the way. It's like they became more of a fan of Ross post Teflon Don. They green light whatever he does while they neglect Jeezy. I also think it's a lot of Ross doing what he's told by the label where Jeezy's more against the grain.

Them not droppin' TM103 after "Lose My Mind" was the biggest :what:moment during the whole anticipation of the album. To make it worse, there was a remix with Drake (I don't know if it was official) and Jeezy was on Drake's album. They pushed the album back several times, but them releasing all of those singles was promo for the album.

I also get that Ross has been the bigger name and more popular since 2010, but it's kind of irrelevant when Jeezy's last album outsold his. I say that Ross has been the bigger name because he's gotten the big features, endorsement deals, and he was a catalyst in the success of Wale and Meek Mill.
