Dude can do it all: rebound, protect the rim, pass, shoot the three, bring the ball up. He's worth more than 10 mill.. I'd love to see him on Detroit.

He is probably worth a 5 year 35 million type deal but someone will probably overpay him and give him an even better contract then that.

Like I always tell nikkas, getting paid in today's NBA aint what it used to be.

You got nikkas like Haywood and Parsons getting well over 10 mil a year.

You bugging if you dont think Green getting that type of money.

PLus he a youngin, so I think the MAX for him is like 15 mil or some shyt. He aint getting quite that.

I could see someone paying like 10 or 11 million.

it was same with our boy kawhi

peeps saying he not getting max deal

he was out for god knows how long spurs fell off a damn cliff cuz of him

way worse than they thought

comes back for portland game spurs beast he beast and win by 20 if I'm correct

so it depends on without him how bad off they are and most off all what has he down in the playoffs where
kawhi showed his ass off

too me kawhi butler and i think klay but i haven't watched his play in awhile are top 3 2 way defenders that comes off top of my head if I'm missing somebody let me know
Even though he takes plays off and seems to be giving 60% effort this season LeBron is still at or near the top of this list. And a healthy Paul George would probably be up there as well.

That only works in theory. It's not feasible with supply and demand.
The best thing you can do with a Draymond Green type is draft your own. They get made every year.

In reality we have teams struggling each year because they pinned their hopes and the max to a guy that isn't on that level. Every guy that plays well and/or fits a certain role perfectly and/or helps to put a team over the top is not worthy of the max period.

It's not so much pinning the max on a guy like him. It's the belief that you can't do better on the market than Draymond (and in some cases, it's absolutely true). If you don't spend, your plan B better be awesome. Teams that would sign him probably know he's not a max player, but it's better than coming back empty handed.

I was thinking he would get 12 mil a year at the most, and 12 mil would be overpaying. Even though his defense is top notch and he can stretch the floor, he's just not someone you can afford to offer the max too.

At the top.
Role players on great teams always get overpaid :snoop:

QFT. He's a solid all around player.
He's very important to GS success and guaranteed some team is gonna try to pry him away.
Doesn't have any character issues (like Lance Stephenson). I'd say he's going to end up with 10-12M per year.

No way. Dudes need to prove themselves for years before we discuss max deals
:mjlol:

tell that to john wall. dude was looking a faster dumber version of andre miller when he got paid

Before they paid Wall he had a good second half of the year when he came back from injury

The team was one of the worst in the league and played almost .500 with him. That's why they decided to pay him.

Plus when you factored his age and potential to improve it made sense.

breh

wall was coming off injury concerns, looked like he only knew one speed to play basketball at, was absolutely useless in the halfcourt, and couldn't shoot a 3 to save his life

saying that guys get max contracts after years of proving themselves is bullshyt. your first non-rookie contract is based on potential, not consistent production.

that year when he came back after injury the year they paid him....he showed a great improvment

they were 5-28 without him

24-25 with him

he put up career highs and points and fg%

I agree it was part potential. I just dont think he should be included with some of the names in this thread

Draymond is my nikka but the max :mjlol:

Philly got a ton of cap space, you might as well throw that at Green assuming you draft Towns/Okafor/Mudiay.

MCW
Mcdaniels
Draymond
Embid
Okafor

Bench: Nerlens, Mo Williams, Tayshaun Prince

Assuming Embid is healthy, that would be a 40 win team.
