Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
The place with the most educated black folks by region is the south. Ny nikkas ain't like the rest of the blacks in the country.

Literally almost all the bottom cities in education are in the south and the southern cities with high education rates are where a lot of northern folks migrated too.

Surprise surprise!!

I know and is did HHID but I mean like after God Son he wasnt getting mainstream singles even though he was still selling a lot of records and getting acclaim. Its a testament to him that he didnt need to.

- radio and especially video was still pushing nas singles heavy, even tho they didnt really catch on.
- def jam was still pushing his albums hard.
- and most of all, he always kept a gimmick going with his album titles that sparked alot of controversy & interest leading into the release dates, that otherwise wouldnt have been there. only one that didnt have an album title was streets disciple, but the tracks with the name-drops and subliminal disses were made known to the public before the release, and it was a double cd.

Exactly. guys like Mystikal or Pimp C were spittin' harder and more clever shyt than many of these eastcoast rappidy rappy ass bums, while havin' an unique captivating style at the same time. fukk Nature, Fu Schnickens, Cru, most of Wu fam and those cats, nothin' special bout em

pimp c was never a spitter.

that was bun's lane(and it took bun some years to get his weight up, but thats besides the point).

stop overrating people in death.

Not that much, his singles would debut but not stay in rotation

the main ones that they pushed, did indeed stay in heavy rotation.

i remember that hero bullchit got constant play.

he was far from some underground hero that managed to move units, like yall be painting on here. hes basically been jayz-lite.

Nah, Nas wasn't making songs with mainstream appeal beyond God's Son and it was done purposely. Untitled is an album where Nas actually made blatant radio records like "Hero" featuring Keri and "Make The World Go Round" featuring Chris Brown and Game. Other than those, all of his other singles haven't been radio attempts. "Spicy" is his closest.
