I wouldnt agree in totality, they have their purpose and could be used to help players develop and refine their games, and also the staff with player tendencies and who's successful where etc. But yes I think it does it get outta hand, especially when they were used arbitrarily.

Analytics is being used to try and eliminate nba playing experience out of the calculus in getting a front office or coaching job in the nba. Since most former players are black, the analytics movements is directly damaging black people.

not all metrics they use are good..of course not and I disagree with some of the conclusions they draw...especially on the defensive side of the ball
