I've looked at stats of shot volume and shooting percentages for players when closely guarded, when wide open, etc. they're out there. By your own biased recollection, Kobe faced a ton of double and triple teams that LeBron did not. That is analytics even though it is not backed up by actual numbers. There are ways to statistically quantify what you're talking about. It just isn't meaningful because your goal is to make excuses for Kobe instead of trying to really measure the defenses they both faced.
