So cut him and start Gino behind a shyt offensive line, shyt receivers, no TE? So you basically want to fukk him like you did Sanchez? Silly.
This. Sanchez gonna be the punching bag while the start the rebuilding process.

jets got tebow, sanchez , had favre and they all did nothing, plain and simple if you're a good qb and go to the jets you become TRASH
Supposedly they can't (or better yet it wouldn't make sense to) because of how much they owe him.
08:39 AM ET 04.27 | Drafting Geno Smith was a bold move by new general manager John Idzik, who just got a face on his rebuilding project and it could spell the end of Mark Sanchez's time as a Jet. The Jets are saying Sanchez will compete for the starting job, but it seems unlikely they will keep him around. He would carry a $17 million salary cap hit, but the team could designate Sanchez a post-June 1 cut to save on salary cap space. He would then count $12.3 million against the cap in 2013, less than he would if he is on the roster, and $4.7 million in 2014. The Jets would owe Sanchez at least $8.25 million, a check that would be tough for owner Woody Johnson to cut, but why keep him around if Smith is viewed as your future?

Eh...Sanchez wasn't great, but the Jets fukked that kid up. He could have been an Alex Smith type QB.

For real, some ya'll nikkas I don't believe watch football. Sanchez isn't a bad qb at all. Theres a multitude of things that got him to the point hes at now. The first two years when they had great playoff success he played pretty well. Sure he made some bonehead rookie mistakes but thats growing pains. What people fail to realize is that the Jets did an awful job of maintaining the team that was around him. When he started he had a great o line, run game and new defensive scheme that was giving the league fits. They let go of all their best players. O line regressed terribly, they let Thomas Jones walk for what 2M (woody cheap pos) cause they thought Shonn Greene could handle the rock. They brought in Santonio which wasn't bad aside from him not being a team player, let Braylon go who Sanchez had a great connection with, let Cotchery go and now Kellers gone. Dude had nothing last year to work with. Really just needs a change of scenery.Eh...Sanchez wasn't great, but the Jets fukked that kid up. He could have been an Alex Smith type QB.
Breh Alex Smith still is trash. Dont let the fantastic run game and defense fool you. The Niners tolerated him, nothing more. I know thats your boy but
EDIT: Also, keep him on the roster. Don't take a salary cap hit. We will be terrible either way. Might as well let things run their course for this season. Garrard got to go though. Thats a baffling pick up to me.

The reputation of USC quarterbacks were set back immeasurably by this clown and to a lesser extent Leinart. For real, some ya'll nikkas I don't believe watch football. Sanchez isn't a bad qb at all.
