There a plenty of black businesses but they're disproportionately focused on things that don't cover basic necessities

If a disaster(flood, snowstorm, pandemic) hits how do we even feed ourselves without having to depend on white grocery stores?

I thought about that a lot watching Asian communities in Houston. In case of an emergency that Asian neighborhood is anchored by 2-3 legit big ass grocery stores where nikkas can get right without having to hope that Kroger is open or supplied. Big ass bags of rice, meat, water, batteries etc

Same with the Hispanics. You can throw a rock anywhere and hit a La Michocana or a Fiesta out here

I don’t believe mandarin is that helpful because at the end of the day, jobs and business will prefer a native speaker or heritage speaker over a black person speaking mandarin

The Chinese themself are learning english and other languages to conduct business
Mandarin is only important if you’re dealing with East Asian businesses/trade

French Arabic Spanish and Swahili are much more useful

Swahili is the lingua france alongside english in much of east Africa. East Africa is wear the future of Africa is not West Africa unfortunately. It’s use is only increasing
