Melo's career is a lot like KG's.

Remember KG could never get out the first round until the loaded the team around him with Casselll and Spree. Then he finally made the finals when he was no longer the first option on the team. Melo can still be option one on offense and win because he's a great scorer. BUt he simply cant be your best player and win. Not in this NBA.

It's not all on Melo that he didn't win a ring but the original trade to New York should have been handled better. If he really wanted to win he would have signed their that offseason for a little less money and they could have kept some of their younger assets. With the way the league ended up going him Danilo Chandler off the bench Amare at center and Felton at guard might have at least made it to the ECF Finals. But other than that he has lost to the better team in the playoffs and hasn't had the talent around him to really compete for a title.

I still don't understand why people continue to wildly overrate Gallo & Chandler, and I like Chandler, but that team was not sniffing a ECF with those teams Miami & Chicago had.

Couple of those Denver teams were good enough to win the title. Boeheim just copping pleas for Melo. :francis:

the only team with a chance was when they lost to the lakers in the WCF. they had a chance to go up 2-0 heading back to denver and fukked it up.... :francis:

i really wanted to see nuggets vs magic in the finals too.

that was the only team hes ever been on with even a slight chance though. still, obviously melo is no lebron in terms of impact, but who is ? :manny:

Funny thing is... the 54 win season...

A J.R Smith elbow to Jason Terry literally altered the course of that playoffs for Melo's Knicks.

Had that not happened, the Knicks would have eliminated the Celtics the enxt game and would have been well rested against the Pacers (who they took to 6 games...)

:dead: at Sam Cassell and 35 year old Latrell Sprewell being considered loaded
They made it to the WCF. It wasnt just these two either. I think Rodney Rogers was on that team. Either way what im saying is that teamwas deep. Cassell was an All Star that year if im not mistaken

That's a lie. Miami didn't have the cap room for Melo. And the Knicks pretty much became the Bulls team :pachaha:
Riley could've made the room happen, you know Wade would've taken a cut, also probably would've required LeBron and Bosh getting less too. Melo would've had to take a baby check too. I wouldn't suggest this idea under a perfect world where they're all getting the money they deserved.

:mjcry: Under ideal circumstances Kristaps sidekick would be a player that is currently a high school senior or college freshman, but instead this overrated chucker is who he will be running with for the next couple of years. Hopefully after the Knicks get bumped in the second round, Melo finally decides to leave and request a trade.:mjcry:

Oh wait. How old is @Lefty Gunz ?? Dude was probably still in his dad's nut sack when this happened. Then cats wouldn't understand how good some of these players were. According to them if you're not HOF material, you ain't shyt

Sam Cassell was good, not great/elite. Sprewell best days were way behind him at that point. Never said they weren't good but loaded? :usure: The Warriors now are what i consider being loaded

Oh so you are judging them by today's standard as opposed to thir competition of that era???
Yeah that's smart. In this case no players that played in the 70s were great since players today would run laps around them.
Sh!t you read on the Coli. I swear, man. :snoop:
