Oh so you are judging them by today's standard as opposed to thir competition of that era???
Yeah that's smart. In this case no players that played in the 70s were great since players today would run laps around them.
Sh!t you read on the Coli. I swear, man. :snoop:

Those Wolves teams were pretty much carried by Garnett. His prime years in Minnesota he was scary dominant.

:what: the hell are you talking about? I'm just saying they weren't "loaded". No matter what era they played in
Loaded ≠ super team, B. Loaded is just loaded with talent from 1 through 9+

Today's standard of having 3 stars on a team was not the norm back then

He was dominant. But they never got far. Same as Melo. He can torch anyone for 50 on any given night. but his teams ...

The Nuggets were good enough to beat the Lakers in 2009. They just weren't mentally tough enough and couldn't execute in crunch time. Couple games came down to them just properly inbounding the ball. Just throwing the gatdamn ball in. And they couldn't figure that out. It's disgusting to hear this narrative that Melo's teams just weren't good enough. And that Melo was this savior that's been stuck on bad teams. I can't speak for what's happened in NY but when he was in Denver the franchise tried to surround him with talent so that the Nuggets could be a contender. And they did contend. It wasn't luck. They just couldn't get over the hump. If you're going to compare them to a recent team, compare them to last year's Thunder. Just a gatdamn shame.
the mental part of the game is why lakers beat the nuggets, like I said lakers and healthy celtics were on another level that year and the rest was a level below, I remember that 09 series they won one game in LA and it looked like this shyt might happen but then lakers won the last two games after 2-2 in a convincing way.

before the series started lakers were coming off a 7 game series against rockets, they were more tired and the first two games in LA were close, but melo wasnt as good as kobe, and pau was better than billups, lakers were simply better, so melo losing that series was not like a choke or anything, he lost against a stronger team.

And that's the only year where it was possible for melo to win it all, only because the east strongest team lost their arguably main player.

Who exactly was expecting it in 2016? He's going into year 14 on a squad that's not close and you got the Cavs and Warriors looking like the 80s Lakers and Celtics. Obviously not all his fault. Obviously he's no innocent victim either. I just find it funny how people suddenly recognize the importance of management and teammates when it comes to certain cats.

This is what Melo would look/play like some SOME kind of help. That ball stopper shyt is a myth.

Couple of those Denver teams were good enough to win the title. Boeheim just copping pleas for Melo. :francis:

No they fukk they were not.

baby, that was the old me
:mjcry: Under ideal circumstances Kristaps sidekick would be a player that is currently a high school senior or college freshman, but instead this overrated chucker is who he will be running with for the next couple of years. Hopefully after the Knicks get bumped in the second round, Melo finally decides to leave and request a trade.:mjcry:

Melo is the best player ever to don a Knicks jersey

I know you did not just use a fukking example of the muthafukking national team as an example of the type of help Melo needs to be fukking successful :mjlol:

You don't need the national team but he needs at least another scoring threat. The video suggests that if Rose/Jennings pan out you might see more FIBA Melo this season.
