I don't know about mental illness but I guarantee take away all the fluff in his life and that Jaden Smith "there is no me" shyt will disappear with the quickness.

The thing is that celebrities have more time to think about extra shyt. Average Joes are stuck in a grind trying to keep the lights on. That is their reality :manny:
Taking a step back and embracing true existentialism is not an option for regular nikkas, and it can/will crush their entire perspective on life.
Kinda sad how people accuse Jim of being crazy for understanding the way the world really works...people truly are sheep :to:

the point is that reality most of us live is not by choice but by life constraints, life as designed by the societal systems we dwell in and the archaic values most still live by. It only take that design to shift towards less artificial needs and deeper connections between humans themselves for that reality to change to something we cannot even grasp yet. Hopefully the future generations will have that privilege.
Anyway, as long as the intuition that there's something wrong in the way humans live their lives keeps spreading there's hope.
Unfortunately there's a great probability it will a take an unprecedented cataclysm for that shift to really start happening.

Prince Ea shtick is so see through. Psuedo deep. His spoken word is just awful too. But let him finesse mfers for views.

I went to elementary school with him. Was a pretty good friend. I admittedly have stopped following him as much when he went motivational speaker. I wish he kept rapping like he was when he first started.

Dude's other videos are :wow: too:

Mark Cuban's advice to lotto winners:
"If you weren't happy yesterday, you won't be happy tomorrow. It's money. It's not happiness."

So you have one of the most famous actors, a billionaire and one of the most insightful physicists of all-time, on top of a host of others (who people are striving to be) saying the same thing.

fukk Mark Cuban and fukk poverty. Even if he's right, that only means something coming from someone who's been broke. Not some "oh, I still have so much stress" billionaire complaining about his 20 gardeners fukking up his lawn.

EDIT: lot of white girls in that video, what's he really selling as the cure for contentment :jbhmm:

A lot of truth in this post, but I'd also say learning is everybody's own responsibility.

I've always kept an interest in this topic, even when struggling financially before I became a software engineer. In fact, knowing what he's talking about has helped me land this career and thrive in it.

It's a very relieving feeling when you're not so hard on yourself, when you see every problem/obstacle for what it is rather than bringing every "story" along with it. Knowing you don't have control over anything, that things are pretty much automatic and that if it was meant to be, it was meant to be. Knowing this can get the mind to make a more clear decision.

Jim is at an advanced stage in his life and and I would say his ex committing suicide had a lot to do with it. Sure Jim was enlightened before but that happening further advanced it. When you are rich and have everything in the world and life still decides to mess shyt up for you question your very existence. Most average people like myself don't have the time to get this point because we are too consumed with are jobs, family, social media and other bullshyt. I guarantee when most of us are on our deathbed what Jim is sayin will become alot more prevalent.
