Watch the video he considers Jordan transformational and HE IS 100 percent right.

Bird wasn't a 4 so i don't know what you are talking about
He played 3 and 4 and I said proto-stretch 4 for a reason, but you can legit say he was one of the onees to start that and show what that skill set at that size could do if they could ball handle and shoot at range.

I would say Kobe and Jordan were transcendent as well. They greatly changed and carried the league
Jordan was made the face and protagonist of the league, but I wouldn't say Kobe was ever in the same standard or sphere as Jordan.
Kobe is a good player, the marketing wasn't behind him as it was for Bird and Magic or Jordan.
Kobe didn't change anything about the league either.
AI probably had more effect on the league than Kobe in terms of what STern did to wipe his influence off the league with the dress code and etc.

He never played 4 in any lineup stop lying Cedric Maxwell and Mchale played 4 and Parish manned the five and some big lumbering white dudes who backed him up he never played 4 stop making it up to fit your argument, because as a 3 none of what you are saying he could do was wow, so you are trying to make him a 4

He was drafted as a Power Forward and was listed as Power Forward for the Celtics in 80 - 84

Anyone else tired of former players going on these TV shows and saying outlandish shyt? Ever single day another former player in saying some ridiculously stupid shyt for white people's amusement on these dumbass hot take T.V shows. It's disgusting.

I don’t mind lesser former professional players critiquing other professional players actually prefer it than some nerd who doesn’t even know how to do a crossover... but to undermine and shyt on them when you weren’t even in their stratosphere

Jim Jackson has an interesting take in this clip and i kind of see what he is talking about when he says bring up Bron, Jordan and Magic.

And i 100% agree with him on Kobe since Kobe is a great value version of Jordan so there is no wow i have never seen this before?

But Larry Bird is more interesting case

if you werent wow'd when watching Kobe play, you never watched him

as for Jim Jackson's comments, it's an interesting take and I see what he's getting at. And as a former player he's within his right to express this. He played against and with Kobe, and also played vs Wade.

besides all that, Larry Bird definitely was transformational. I think all 3 were transformational in their own way.

but his fanbase is just as big if not bigger than all of them except MJ. Kobe left a humongous impression on basketball fans around the world, and also influenced an entire generation of players, period.

I agree that AI is up there in terms of being transformational as well.

Gonna say something then back out this thread real quick,

Scottie pippen did more to redefine the small forward position than Larry bird .....

*ducks tomatoes and leaves quick*

That is true Scottie killed the Adrian Dantley, Mark Aguirre small forwards into the new age which is what got Carmelo a bad rap since he is from the old school pre Scottie Small forward
