Man I was 16 trying to get p*ssy in Wagner projects. Almost had my head non exist. Homie pulled out a desert eagle. shyt looked like a cannon.

I started to ignore shortys number after that.
Hated Harlem for a long time after that.

ever heard the rhyme about them projects? "out in wagner house, they'll stab you out"

Nah bro don't mess round on that east side. I went school in Spanish Harlem with a joint from Wagner. She was throwing lol hints. But i ain't like her ass that much. Had me
:dame::patrice::hubie:

Wagner broads notorious for setups.
Reading these projects stories...:wow:

I remember moving to Detroit from Flint when I was 13...Flint didn't have projects, it was all just wild ass neighborhoods, but Detroit had the infamous Brewster projects.

I remember my homeboy June and his big bro Ennis scooped me up and we went to the Brewsters to pick up some work. It was hot as hell outside, shyt was like 80+ degrees in June and niccas was standing outside with big ass bubble coats and triple fat goose coats. Only reason we were good is because niccas knew Ennis...and even then you could tell some of them niccas wanted to move on us.

All goes back to what the homie Juvenile said..."if you're far away from your home you're an alien".

Every nikka i ever met named June was wrapped into some street shyt. all 20 something of them lol

My homeboy went to Harlem years ago to visit some fam, first time on the east coast. He said he didnt no sleep that week cuz nikkaz was standing outside @ 4 in the morning like it was day time talkin loud, dogs fighting n shyt

I was just over there this past Halloween, outta everywhere I went in NYC that was the only spot that gave me pause lol. The cold part is it's wedged between a big ass hill and a thoroughfare on the other side with no sidestreets when you cross the overpass at the bottom, I was there in broad day light and nikkas was still mugging me on some :mjpls:"nikka why you over here" lol. 145th and up definitely had a different vibe from the other parts of Harlem I was in, was cool other than that Polo Grounds area though.

Yup that's not that hipster latte Harlem. Polo is positioned like a military outpost surrounded by natural barriers and filled with some desperadoes.
As kids we called them thirsty lobos and the women up there fight like niccas since the 80s on some

I had family in the projects. Red Hook was crazy. My cousin had a friend who got killed over his air jordan 10s when they were trying to go to a party. My cousin lived on the 2nd floor. He heard his friend screaming his name to let him in, as he went to the buzzer he heard the shots. He went to the window, saw his friend laid out with no shoes.

Another time they climbed the little I guess.. facade in front of the door to the building to my cousins apartment. My uncle was sleeping and they went through the window and stole the tv and entertainment system while he was snoring

My grandmother lived in Lower East Side off the FDR. My other cousin had a fight with a cat over a basketball game. Weeks passed by, he was hooping and the kid came back and sliced his neck open. But he didn't hit the jugular and now my cousin got a scar on his neck. He cool now driving uber. Actually, he was driving someone to the ave D homes and they robbed him and dipped into the projects.

For about 4-5 years I dated a girl from Ebbets Field. I never got pressed because her grandparents were well known and her father was an OG. But they did give me the looks. Only time it was "scary" per say is on friday by the Empire Skate ring. The cops would shut the whole block down and the kids would go into Ebbets Field to terrorize and riot. Fridays I always left her spot before 6 if not I was spending the night...

You didn't go to Empire on Friday nights. You were going to get robbed. IIRC, Fab got got there on a Friday. They had to close it down.

the internet
Put us up on game or create a thread... Most people in this country are basically broke but you seem to have the answers so go ahead. I'm not being flippant either...
there is a long ass make money online thread on here...
...and the 6 certs forum that gets no traction.

At the end of the day you have to sell something.
Learn to sell/market.
Wether its online (affiliate marketing, making your own product), or real life (homes, cleaning services, etc..).

The question is what do YOU want to do.
There is a ton of free information on the internet.
We have the Library of Alexandria in our pockets...but people would rather cry about H&M and talk shyt about Cardi B.

The World, but from BK
I grew up in Crown Heights from the 80's until mid-90's then moved from there to Brownsville till like 2000 then from Bville to the South Bronx....then back to BK in like 2002 in Mill Basin, when my mother finally got her house.

I got stories b.....I remember in like the early 90's in crown heights, I was with my brother and his friend, both had those college team started hats. We're walking and all of a sudden a damn bottle comes outta nowhere and breaks open right in front of us. Dudes threw that shyt at us form across the damn street.

My reaction(I was maybe like 8 or 9 at the time)- :dwillhuh:

My brother was like 13- :ohhh:

My brother's friend- :gladbron: then :sadcam:, he looked across the street and knew what time it was and started to boogie.

Dudes yelled some shyt then started chasing us from across the street. My brother and boy started running but I was slowing them down. In hindsight, it was like some Animal Planet shyt when lions start chasing their prey.
Any ways these dudes make it to a building and start ringing doorbells. Some one buzzes, and somehow my brother's friend made it in. The goons run past me and push me aside on the floor and caught my brother right in front of the building. It was like 4 of them, went in his pockets and gave him a strong snuff that pressed his head against the door. They took his hat and kept it moving.

My brother walked home like :mjcry:,

got home and did the

Jim took it back to the Starter jacket robberies in the 90s :wow:

That must've been a nationwide thing in black areas because cats stayed getting robbed/killed for Jordans and Starter jackets. Even it the Midwest. Damn shame :jimjonestear: :mjcry: :sadcam: Still had the Duke Starter tho. :wow: :banderas: Never got robbed :blessed::whew:

I've never been, but I imagine NYC projects to be MASSIVE.

My G, my sis moved to the East Side of Harlem 5 years ago. So went up from MD to visit her. Soon as I got off the train around her spot. I see projects. Walk one block up to her street, see another project. Across from that project is another one. And then like 2 more up the street. Then the 1099 Building was round the corner.

In my mind I'm thinking how crazy was this area before gentrification and heavy police presence.

And in Brooklyn, that drive down Mother Gaston or whatever the street is in Brownsvilles with all them big ass projects right next to each other:lupe:

Me and my moms moved from harlem to Vandiveer Houses by Flatbush junction in 1990
Niccas was so shook when you came after 10pm the streets would be deserted like they had werewolves or some ish ( stomping Grounds of Lil Shawn Haitian jack and jimmy henchmen) Our first week there we lived off brooklyn and New York on the back side. They had a reggae party in the basement. I put my head under the pillow and went to sleep. I mid sleep I heard the sound of glass breaking. I wake up to building security leading me and my moms through our own apartment on some creep ish. I'm like bumbaclot whatagwan nicca. His Oliver looking ass gone point to a nickel sized hole in the kitchen wall then trace his hand back to a vertical hole in the closet door. I crawl over and open the door to see the same hole in the back of my closet threw the neighbor closet and door and I could see they widow busted above the ramp that leads out the building basement. Dez niccas mussa had gun da size of lil vicious

Brooklyn dudes, what's up with them projects around the Marcy ave train station.

Couple years back I was going to the African Food fest at the Navy yard and I had to walk past Williams and Taylor Whythe projects. And it was the most weird thing ever. Nobody was outside, in the summer too. I mean I barely saw a soul outside. I ain't no NY dude, I'm a visitor. So as soon as I see NYCHA sign I'm little leery. But it was a ghost town, the oddest thing ever.

Are those projects where all them Hasidic Jews live?

as someone who spent the first 13 years of my life in the jects, I have to agree.

Spent first 14 years, me too.

On one hand, I feel sorry for my kids because they’ll never have as many friends as I had or anywhere near as much fun as I had as a child.

Growing up in the jects when you’re a shorty is the shyt.

There’s hundreds of kids everywhere, and all types of bullshyt to get into.

But when I hit like 12/13, reality began to set in.

I realized how fukked up we were compared to the rest of the country, and that I could literally die at any moment.

I began to resent my parents.

Luckily moms got us up outta there a year or so later.

Still love to hear them good old hood tales though :banderas:
