I just don't buy the logic that a coach isn't going to take a job because you're in the same conference/division as a coach & program that is the GOAT. If I'm looking for a job im taking the job because of what I'm going to do, I'm not worried about the next man I don't care who it is
No
Do you understand how difficult it is to get into Tech? Ask @iamstr8fire @Mr Hate Coffee @The_Sheff @Rekkapryde about it. You're talking about when you've already been accepted and choosing a major, Tech isn't lowering their academic standards for football or any athletics. Tech academically is like Vanderbilt, Duke or Stanford. UGA is the big state school where you don't even need a 3.0 to get in. So no adding one major is not going to even the playing field in terms of recruiting in Georgia
Stanford is difficult to get in to so is Duke, etc.... for normal students. The difference between those schools and GT is that they have liberal arts programs to "hide" athletes in while the rest of the student body is taking the hard shyt. At GT there is no major you can hide someone in because all the majors require Calculus and lab sciences. If we could hide students in some BS majors there is no reason to believe we couldnt compete better.
Do you really believe the basketball players at Duke are competing academically with the regular student body?

Do you know how difficult it is for a regular student to get into USC or UCLA?

@Rekkapryde is correct, what sense does it make that GT cant add majors because the BoR says it would create redundancy yet UGA can add an engineering program and whatever else they want.
