I understand walk throughs and videos that show tips. I understand if you have one controller and chilling with your homeboy but hours watching someone else play games online is so odd to me, but I get it the world is more connected and less social.

I think its stupid as hell but my kids love watching those playthroughs. I don't see how anyone could hate on it tho...what an easy and genius way to bring in alot of cash. Kids spend so much more time indoors now with all the technological advances. I think its just another case of jealousy.

Didn't watch the skit but I understand where he's coming from. There is something really pathetic about watching other folks play games. I don't mean those that need assistance on getting past a boss, or to see a preview before purchasing either. I get that. Still, to watch hour after hour, is bizarre to me. Partly why there's so many unsociable, fat, out of shape and natural light sensitivee weirdos amongst newer generations. Have to say Kimmel's point is proved with some of the feedback. Articles defending gamers like they were under a vicious attack. Weirdo emo women writing emotional and pseudo intellectual pieces about how watching people play video games benefits society. Hilarious and bizarre at the same time.

Corny. I generally like him but he doesn't know what he's talking about. Twitch and YT gaming channels wouldn't be so popular if there wasn't a lot of interests from different types of people. Most of the major gamers I watch, also watch and recommend other people's channels. So being a watcher doesn't preclude someone from playing, not that it matters. I'm not in show business but I watch movies.

The same could be said of beer-bellied sports fans, many of which have never played organized sports competitively..HS, college, let alone professionally. I bet his family is full of fat guys who enjoy watching sports (but not playing).

Alot of gamer channels have annoying, artificial personalities and commentary, but I have a few channels where I go to watch gameplays. Right now, I don't have the time dedicated to play Until Dawn.

It would be a hassle to bring my console with me everytime I go somewhere for work so I snack up and I watch Chris Smoove play it. It's like a movie to me
