He’s not lying, dude said no to Ingram and Langdons invite to nba finals game. He said no to meeting Willie Green, even Bledsoe showed up lol. He didn’t go to Vegas in summer league, he didn’t attend the team practices in Tennessee. He did go to Duke practice and USC football games though. When you decline so many team activities during one summer, that is concerning. Even someone as busy as LeBron always shows up to Summer league for a day.
Why didn't he say no to that commercial

They are, but they’re gaining great players as well. Players aren’t lining up to go to places like Toronto, Memphis or NO. It’s just how it is.
I hear you breh, but we say “major markets” like if a superstar goes to one it’s a win for them all. Nobody has gone to the Knicks since Melo and Amare a decade ago. They are the biggest market in the entire association. Houston had CP3, Russ, Harden all in the last 10 years without a finals appearance. Little ol’ OKC had a better run. My Bulls haven’t gone to a conference finals in a decade, how are they better than Utah or Denver over the same time span? And franchise for franchise, is Chicago better than San Antonio? We are just conditioned to feel sorry for small market teams when it isn’t always necessary. They aren’t free agent preferred destinations but they get their fair share of stars.

People keep talking about small market teams losing people. Players are asking out of major markets too though. Bron left Miami. KD left the bay. Harden left Houston and NYC. CP3 left LA. Simmons left Philly. Kawhi left Toronto. A lot of those players are still in big markets but it doesn’t seem like the big market is what’s driving them.
Spurs won rings
Cleveland won a ring and were contenders in 07-10 and 14-18
Milwaukee won a ring and will be contenders

That being said, I don’t like the way Zion is handling this.

Because he is doing this like a fukking buffoon. How is his poeple going to talk about the market isn't big enough and this nikka got a 75 million dollar Nike contract and was on the cover of my NBA2K21??? Doesn't compute. He's being a bytch ass nikka breh. I hate to see it.

Naw, breh this might be a Zion thing.

Because Ja Morant has fully embrace the Memphis culture.

One thing I've learned is to never be closed-minded to opportunity. If you go somewhere and fully ingratiate yourself with the company, the ethos, the people, you might be surprised by just how much of it actually comes naturally. Most people all over are decent people that are just trying to provide for their family. There isn't anything about New Orleans that screams total shythole to me. I understand that some parts are poverty stricken, but that's damn near everywhere. Again, he's being a bytch ass nikka

Unless you’re from there like a Lebron, your you’re a foreigner that don’t know any better like Giannis, small market teams will have very little leeway in building around a super star caliber player.

The league has a real problem on their hands if guys only want to play for 4-5 teams. If you're a Pelicans fan what's the point of even investing your time, energy, and money to the team if shyt like this keeps happening?

This is why I keep telling people that the NBA overexpanded and needs to contract.

There's no reason for teams to be in a lot of these cities.

I know the players union won't like that, but if none of you want to play in OKC, Minnesota, and Orlando, then what's the point of those teams existing.

NBA is turning into a league of anti-social weirdos. Complete 180-degree change from the 90s.

This is generational

Look around, the last 20 or so years have produced nothing but antisocial losers in our cultures, which is why everybody is on antidepressants and can't maintain relationships.

That's just western culture now.:yeshrug:

No social media or constant news cycle to the degree we have now in the 90s, a lot of shyt was swept under the rug :manny:

Yeah, but that doesn't cover up dudes being weird.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was always considered a little antisocial, but that's because dude's like a fukking genius who was intellectually more advanced than everybody else of his time.

This generation of people in general are just weirder and more antisocial. That's across the board. :francis:

It’s really not though
Most of these guys are twice as social as the biggest names from the 80s 90s 00s. Like twenty of these nikkas have podcasts or some kind of media access beyond their team.

This nikka think that having a podcast & media makes you "social".:heh:

Herb ass nikkaz like Akademiks have their own shows and that nikka is obviously a lame ass weirdo.

These guys have rose tinted glasses about the past

sprewell choked his coach

Violence happened because back in the day when men were men dudes handled their business and confronted each other like men and not like passive aggressive weirdos subtweeting and making burner accounts to defend themselves against fans like KD.:mjlol:

Yeah, what Spree did was wrong, but it wasn't some weirdo shyt.

You look at old footage of baseball, basketball, football, NASCAR, etc. . .and violence was always happening.

Look at Bobby Knight, Woody Hayes, Bobby McCrae, Lou Pinella, etc. . .

Players, coaches, and everybody else used to fight

It’s absolutely not and people said that when Jordan retired. How many new all stars has the league had these last two seasons? Plenty.

And the league almost died when Jordan retired. :russ:

It JUST almost recovered a few years ago from Jordan retiring

They're still not getting the type of insane ratings they were in the '90s

In NBA Finals Ratings, Michael Jordan Beats LeBron James

Top 10 Most Watched NBA Games Of All Time

They have no chance of winning a ring, so you want him to play his ass off for a franchise that isn’t going anywhere… just because? Shyt makes no sense. :mjlol:

nikka, 99% of players in the history of team sports didn't have a shot at a ring, but they still played hard because they have pride and are still being paid.

I know we all shyt on Russ, but he ALWAYS plays hard, whether he's on a good team or even after Durant left and he was barely in the playoffs.

That's called being a professional.

Honestly haven't cared about Zion at all. This saga is beyond me and at some point we'll get the details, I guess.

But

I did predict Ja would long term be a star in ways Zion could never be, because Zion's a flying water buffalo who did all them dunks against diminutive CACs in high school, then went to dook and won exactly nothing, because he's fat and a bozo... so GOOD and fukk HIM

Zion needs a Moses Malone to tell him he's fat and lazy.

Zion skipping all the team building functions wouldn’t be as big a deal, if he also wasn’t missing 65% of the required workdays (85 games played in 3 seasons) and reportedly being fat/not even prepared to perform his craft this year.

You’ve had players who didn’t fuk with teammates (Kawhi) or just wanted to fuk celebrities/strippers on their off days (Harden) but any damning passive aggressive behavior wouldn’t really happen until a rift with mgt, 5-8 years down the road.

For it to barely be 2.5 years for Zion, isn’t a good look at all. Doesn’t feel there’s even been enough time for their to be a rift.

What’s wild is this just happened for Porzingas but all accounts it was the Knicks panicking and flipping him before his rookie deal was over. Looking back, Knicks actually dodged a bullet.
