The moderate vote was split, just because the dem base was left with two choices does not mean it was nefarious. Bernie still could have best Biden 1 on 1 if he was the candidate of choice for the majority of the Democratic Party.

Didn't say it was nefarious in that it was illegal, just that it was done to undercut a specific candidate who raising the most money, had the most union support, biggest likeability and policies thst polled popularly.

Bernie sure coulda put up more of a fight against Joe which I had previously stated but this election was won based on electability and Biden was performing the least best of any candidate in terms of fund raising and voter enthusiasm. Every poll, in the general showed people were not voting for him for his policies but because they thpught he was best to beat Trump. That was the number 1 concern for people. So I agree Bernie didn't put up much of a fight but on pure policy, Bernie was strongly outperforming Biden on any objective measure

Nancy Pelosi just lost her margin based on “socialism, defund the police, etc..”, you think she’s going to lean into the far lefts policies? The remaining moderate Dems who barely escaped defeat in the house are going to give Nancy a much harder time this go around.

Cuomo is my best bet for 2024.

If Trump didn't mess up the Covid response he would have won in a landslide. This election was not a referendum on the right. Democratic candidates have less votes than Biden, the general public was not looking to change the makeup of congress to be more liberal.

I agree 100%. The general public was just exhausted with an unprofessional in the office. They were tired of this outsider experiment. It’s going to be a tall task to get two Dems in GA runoff.

Centrist always dismiss progressives as unpopular and losers who can;'t win a presidential election but the fact remains the last time a true progressive was given the chance as the dem nominee
to run for president in FDR, he was so dominant that the US literally created presidential term limit just to stop his insanely dominant run.

Until someone like Bernie or Warren or AOC actually makes it out of the primary and actually run against republican for president, the whole "progressive can't win" is nothing but conjecture not grounded in facts.

It's a catch 22, progressives can't make it out of the primary because the media and dem establishment have convinced majority of the primary voters that only a centrist/corporate dem can win and you can't know that for sure until you actually put it to the test, so until a progressive lose a presidential election to GOP candidate in the general, it's moot.
