He was still defending the bill as recently as last year, when almost every other Dem who voted for it apologized for their vote. Hell, he was defending the bill on the breakfast club.

They would have most certainly lost. That’s why Trump tried to discredit Biden before Biden even announced a run. This country is in the center. Trump got in on a fluke, but you can’t be too far left or too far right to win in this country. Trump is the exception, not the rule.

Kamala will and should face a serious primary. That said, if people want a more progressive candidate, y’all better find someone who knows how to politic as well as policy. Everyone is on AOC, but Pressley would make a better 2024 candidate by far.

AOC ain’t trying to run for president anyway. I don’t know why people say her. The more progressive candidate is unlikely to be someone in the house anyway. It’s probably going to be someone in the senate or a governor. Not sure who fits that bill though.

One of his only selling points was that he'd help down ballot races. He did not.
One of his only other selling points was that black and Latin voters would prefer a moderate. They did not. Trump gained support from those groups since 2016.
But the party will learn nothing from this, Biden will eat the blame for the economic downturn and mass virus death, and Democrats will lose very, very badly in the 2022 midterms, despite the fact they'll be telling us it's "the most important election of all time." Kamala loses to that guy with the eyepatch in 2024.

Nancy Pelosi just lost her margin based on “socialism, defund the police, etc..”, you think she’s going to lean into the far lefts policies? The remaining moderate Dems who barely escaped defeat in the house are going to give Nancy a much harder time this go around.
