They already keep track of the entire countries old head, super less fortunate population, and vets. now that VA ehhhh lets not talk about them. They would have to completely gut them and move the soldiers over the medicare for all. maybe give them preferential treatment. I wouldnt be mad about that. they deserve it.

I just don't understand the logic that illegal immigrants will get free healthcare. Who said anything about that? No they won't get free healthcare. If they do come here and work they will make a lot more money than they could back home so they can for sure afford good quality Mexican health care.

Lastly you do know that majority of that 22 trillion debt was used to bail out wall street (private sector) and the large insurance companies right. It's clear the private insurance healthcare system has failed Americans. Our neighbors north of the border have been running it successfully for almost 40 years.

By the way insurance companies won't go bankrupt as there are still a lot of things people need insurance for. (Car, house, materials, business, prescriptions, etc)

i should have clarified, because about 5 people turned this into the easy talking point "hur dur you hate mexicans" and that wasn't the point

when someone proposes medicare for all as a serious proposal, republicans are going to counter by telling the country that the democrats want to give free taxpayer healthcare to people who are here illegally. and the democrats are going to have to decide whether to say no, we aren't fukking giving free healthcare to people who come here illegally, that would be ridiculous. or yes, we want to make america the world's free hospital. and the waffling on that question is going to be of epic proportions

because the people who are proposing it aren't willing to make hard cuts in spending i mean im sorry, but anyone proposing this has to be willing to go down the federal budget and cut at least 10 percent of it. if they arent willing to do that, then im not tryna hear it
