Not going anywhere/traveling, not seeing family, staying indoors as much as possible, etc.
Not going anywhere I agree with you.
Not traveling I disagree if it requires flying/staying in a hotel. I’m not planning on doing those things until this is over if I can avoid it. I rented a house and drove down to the outer banks this summer. Hung out on the beach without a mask because it was outdoors and there was room to socially distance.
Not seeing family I disagree depending on what you mean. We see my wife’s parents all the time. We have friends and family over for lunch/dinner in the backyard and we wear masks when we are inside. I would t go to a family reunion. I wouldn’t want to get together with more than say 10 people and I wouldn’t want to do things indoors. I’ve broken most of these rules over the summer but I’ve never been comfortable with it.

staying indoors as much as possible is going to be unsafe as the weather gets colder. Better to be outdoors just avoid big crowds.

it wont maintain that, itll drop to 0.6% or so and then by April when a vaccine is around itll disappear almost completely. By next summer we'll be saying "damn last year was crazy with the covid"
I hope you’re right.

I mean I went to Vegas in August stayed at Bally’s. You had to wear a mask inside every casino. I’ve gone to the beach this summer. Threw a big party for my 40th bday last month & had a decent crowd in the spot I rented out. I’ve seen family & all that. I’m just wondering why people think life stops because of COVID? It’s clearly a personal choice to do or not do anything. Nobody is forcing you to stay home and do nothing. You feel me? It’s that shyt that bugs me. Then I’m the bad guy for not being completely in fear and actually doing things during the pandemic. It’s just irritating because I don’t judge folks but wonder why folks live in fear. Especially the folks who refuse to take care of themselves physically.

What science or medical background do you have to make such a statement, and one that is so precise as well?

Wearing a helmet when riding a motorbike isn't "fear"
Wearing a seat belt when driving isn't "fear"
Wearing a hard hat when entering a construction site isn't "fear"

Its mitigation.

I don’t only because the personal decisions we all make can have consequences for those around us. You might get it doing something very risky (like the party you had, depending on what precautions you took and whether it was indoors or outdoors) have no symptoms but pass it on to someone who dies, or pass it on to someone who passes it on, who passes it on, who passes it on to someone who died.

none. Just following trends. Its sky rocketed.. downwards.
It skyrocketed downwards because a good deal of people wore masks and social distanced as should of been done in the beginning of this. But there are still many people doing none of that in states that are trying and not trying to contain this. People are crossing state lines bringing sickness with them and not self quarantining as they should be.

This is why saying that it is going to keep going down given the government's response and the public's response to this wrong. You have a government by an large that does not care as well as enough citizens that do not care as well for this to never end. We can only hope at a vaccine at this point for this virus and we can not even know when a viable one with no side effects will come out.

That’s all fine & dandy but what gets me is the folks who want to shame people for not living the same exact way. Fear or not.
You get shamed because you are possibly spreading COVID to others by your recklessness and selfishness. People who are doing this are the ones spreading and prolonging this crisis because they can not think about someone other than themselves.

Fugazi.

youre in New York right? Find me one chart, easily accessible by typing cdc info + city. Each will have an official chart.

type in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Miami, Las Vegas i promise you the cases + death chart bar is not a fraction of March - July.

i mean its honestly common sense with very little math. From Mid March - May they reported 100k deaths. From June - Now they reported 220k deaths (120k more in over double the time period).

The News just kicking up shyt cause its election time as well. Reality is opposite. Las Vegas just opened a new casino this week. San Francisco the most liberal city in the world is going to allow 50% capacity in clubs and restaurants just next week. Places are opening, not closing, because the peak has passed.

you do realize not every state/city had the same lockdowns. Florida barely had a lockdown and our numbers were crazy and are still relatively high. Are they like May numbers? Nah cause they were astronomical but everyday 100+ people dying due to covid. NY numbers are low because they have mandatory face masks and other strict regulations. San Fransisco is just NOW opening at 50%, after months of numbers being low. Vegas has become strict as hell on the strip as far as regulations. Miami dade numbers are still high lol.
