I like Joe Budden but let's not act like he walked away from rap at the top of the mountain bruh. The Rock walked away from wrestling to be an actor at the top of the mountain. Joe got pushed out of the rap game and ended up podcasting
He didn't change career paths because he wanted to. Rap wasn't working out. That's why Jay Electronica gave him that backhanded good luck.

Nah you can’t compare a full career to someone who has less than 2 and a half hours of music out.
I am familiar with Jay E since he was posting on SOHH .
I have his complete discography of songs before a written testimony its only 68 songs, many of them only 1 or 2 verses.

I actually was at a Joe Budden concert in '09 downtown, and met Jay Elect there just chilling in the crowd. This was pre-Exhibit C I believe. Joe shouted him out at the end from the stage.
In the same way in the music game being a skilled and reputable emcee is less important than being trendy and staying in the public eye
