I'm reading straight from Kate's mouth. All these othere allegations are just he say she say. :unimpressed:

Bad husband? Yes.
Tough? Yes
Perfect? No
Good father? Absolutely.

Provided for his family. Set the dream. Mads the dream a reality.

Again, only the younger siblings had an issue with the way Joe disciplined them. You never hear about these issues with the older siblings. Tito even said he thought Joe went easy on the younger kids cause the older ones used to get it worse.

Expect people who literary grew up grew up famous to be what you consider normal.

Don't think its its normal to sell hundreds of millions of records, and have fan chasing you as soon as you leave your house.
that's not adding to his case as a good father as he was the one who pushed them into that life*

Lol @ only the younger kids said he was overly abusive

As if that makes anything better.

I can recognize what he did for his kids and applaud that and I wasn’t there to know how exactly what he was but based on what we know I wouldn’t call him a great father

the means justify the end in your opinion¿*

Not everything that he did, or how he did it. He went a little overboard whipping his kids asses for missing a dance step, or some of the other acts he did, but he got his family out the hood. He's the reason that his family is worth a couple Billion dollars. His son become to most famous person to have ever lived, but if it wasn't for Joe, MJ might've been some random dude working in a steel mill in Gary. .. imagine that.

It really is crazy because there literally would be no such thing as Michael Jackson without Joe and when you look at where he maneuvered the family from and to on a shoestring budget whilst navigating some shark infested label seas you've got to give him props for the come up of all come ups.

However for all that MJ bought us in terms of music and entertainment the man lived the saddest life on the planet and a lot of that was due to what he went through in his formative years which scarred his views on women, relationships and trust whilst also robbing him of his childhood so you've got to ask - was it worth the price?

MJ said himself that he thanked Joe for never robbing them, getting them to where they were, instilling the drive for perfection/work ethic and generally being quite shrewd but he also laid a lot of the blame for why he was the way he was on his father too.

Like I said, crazy situation when you look at it all because a lot of what made MJ great is also what fukked MJ up in the first place because he could've been easily killing it on Open Mic night in Gary on the weekends whilst working in a steel mill through the week without Joe and we'd have known nothing about him like millions of other talented kids that are born in the hood to poor parents and all of this is really why there will never be another MJ because its almost like fate conspired to line up all the elements to make the man great, at whatever cost.

No he didn't. Joe didn't even know his boys were into music and singing until Kate told him. And even then, he was so wrapped up in work, he told her he didn't have time for that shyt anymore cause he was a failed musician.

Real talk I'm glad the brothers gave Joe a proper portrayal in the Tv Series:wow:

He had many faults but he is that old school black man. They show their love by being stern, instilling a work ethic in the kids and giving out discipline.

Those boys were destined to be great..he pushed them to hone their craft.

But tito for example was drawn to the guitar and learned alot on his own before Joe even knew he had any chops.
