I love Trap Muzik but it ain’t hitting like GRODT did…

People didn’t really start really liking T.I until Urban Legend and that’s because he didn’t have that twang in his voice. His voice became more smooth like a barbers preciseness.
GRODT didn’t age well to me :yeshrug:

It still has the obvious bangers like In Da Club, What Up Gangsta, Many Men and Heat, but some of the other songs aged like shyt (the Eminem joints, the one with Yayo, 21 Questions and PIMP)

As far as Trap Muzik, I will say Let’s Get Away is probably the worst song out of all of them other than the one with Yayo

Eff Da Grammys !!!!

A lot of my favs got snubbed because they wasn’t no cheese toast nikkas.

50 and Nelly had everyone buying their CDs from every walk of life including Soccer Moms. That’s a great feat.

That album took over the streets like a heatwave just like how Pac did in 96.

Looking back, 50 brought it back to 96 when Pac had the hottest album and was going to war.
Country Grammar was actually a great album, the in-house production and Nellys flow was perfect. Grodt is also sonically perfect. The mixing and mastering was miles ahead of the stuff dropping now.

It’s not a rap album but Speakerboxx/Love Below is miles ahead of GRODT
This is a wild ass statement

And we talking about rap albums so by your own acknowledgement that project shouldn't be in the same conversation, yet you doing it anyway just for the sake of, argument?

It's not even a good album from a pure quality angle. 50 should feel lucky he even got a nomination.

It’s Grammy quality just don’t listen to it regularly anymore, like a lot of older albums. This & Documentary should’ve won for Hip Hop.

21 Questions definitely aged better than Heat...

50 would have won Best Rap Album if OutKast came out later in the year. :manny:

You don't see that now. Multiple monster albums dropping in the same genre in the same year isn't a thing anymore, at least not in hip hop.

it doesn't need to age well.

the grammy was awarded in 2003, not 2025

since when does 'ageing' have shyt to do with grammys at the time. you doing too much breh.

GANGSTA RAP ALBUMS
NEVER WIN GRAMMYS.

THE CLOSEST THING
WOULD BE HARD KNOCK LIFE
AND THE CARTER 3

Carter 3 wasn’t a gangsta rap album. He only talked “gangsta” shyt for like 4 bars on the intro lol.

Album was full of concepts and songs with various themes.

STOP IT

IT WAS MOST DEFINITELY
THE BEST RAP ALBUM THAT YEAR

GRODT is NOT better than Speakerboxxx/The Love Below and i’m willing to DIE on that hill

50 definitely deserved Best New Artist. Thats the one he got robbed of and thats why he walked on stage when Evenessence won but didn’t disrespect Outkast.
