You may have argued with me about us eliminating ORL last yr in the playoffs, but when you consider how they dominated us in 2010, we had every right to be happy we eliminated them.

BTW, people in Atlanta DO care that the Hawks have a 2nd round ceiling as a franchise. Im not satisfied with getting to the 2nd round & most real Hawks fans feel the same way. That's why most of us are excited that this "core 4" is getting dismantled b/c we're tired of just reaching that level.

so unless someone gets injured and yall suck and hit nba draft lotto gold, your whole future of being a championship caliber team would be hinged on the hopes of landing dwight howard's diva ass and hoping the rest of the team around him is good enough.

I doubt Dwight would be available next summer (I think wherever he goes to play next season, he'll sign a long term deal) & we've got our PG in Teague. The moves we're making are about the long term, not quick fixes. If we trade our Core 4 this offseason, we'll be in a much better place 5-10 yrs from now to actually contend, not just make the playoffs

Breh keep it real. Joe Johnson is on the decline & is not worth the contract he signed. The cap space we get from trading Joe & getting rid of a disgruntled Josh later on is , but that's if you're a Hawks fan. Joe had his moments, but never consistently showed up in the playoffs or as a leader for this team (let's not forget how he called fans out after gettin swept by ORL in 2010)

I disagree. this current roster and the chemistry has been and will continue to do the same and thats 2nd round exits, it's time to start a new and take the steps to get into position to make a more serious run in the future. If you can get off Joe's contract now then by all means do it, bc these next 4 years of his deal are gonna ballon like eff
