We’ve been through this a million times. He will be shut down by mid feb. Sixers are a joke org. Never got on Embid for being lazy. Never really pushed Simmons to develop. Drafted a bust when they needed a wing. Gave old ass curious George a massive contract. All that tanking with no conference finals appearance

This reads and feel like.
that real philly fan commentary here tho.

No bullshyt.

Is it "his career is essentially over" or "It dont matter that he's hooping in Dec/Jan"

dont move the goalposts now
right.

He could get hurt at any moment, like any player, but the goal post moving is wild.
So far the Sixers have handled this well. They had a player with no knees essentially and they're managing to a point they can get 80-90% of his prime performance when he plays. If this is Embiid going forward then it's a WIN.

Wouldn't put much hope into him.

If they could keep him and PG sort of healthy for the playoffs, they could make some noise in the playoffs because eastern conference is kinda average this year with Boston obviously not being the same team anymore, Cavs falling off, Pacers injury ridden, etc. But how should the Sixers do that? Load manage him for some games? He's never had a 70 game season in his career and his last 60+ game season was was like 3 seasons ago. He can perform on a higher level for only a limited amount of games but if he could do that in 1st round, I can see them eliminating some of the eastern conference teams that are currently in the playoff/play-in picture.

He still has no lift whatsoever and I don't know if that ever will come back. Hopefully they can make the playoffs with him being available at least. That's the best they can hope for at this point in his career.
