You don’t need to blatantly tank 3 seasons in a row to draft a superstar. Hinkie sucked at drafting anyway.
Hinkie was trash too me. He had no end game and really didn't know what he was doing but his "trust the process" disciples swear by him. He'd still be tanking till this very day if the league hadn't stepped in and got him out the paint like they did

He drafted Embiid so he couldn't be that bad. He also drafted a ROY 11th (Carter-Williams) and found Jerami Grant in the 2nd round.

And if he wasn't successful the NBA wouldn't have blackballed him.
Michael Carter Williams sucks.

Theres zero evidence he could put together a team. His “success” was being allowed to blatantly not put nba talent on the floor for 3 seasons. Anyone could do that if their owner gave them the green light :russ:

They were up 30 points what are you talking about

I’m saying I’m not blaming the coach for not clearing the bench with half a quarter left in a close out, blow out or not…I’m sure it was coming within the next couple of dead balls…but to be all “OMG DOC YOU fukkING IDIOT…why didn’t you take Embiid out at the 7 minute mark of the fourth before he had the chance to be randomly hit in the face with a elbow that could’ve just as likely happened in the first quarter :pacspit:“ a day later when the injury was announced is some Monday morning quarterbacking

so he deserved a cheap shot ?
Of course not but you take that risk when you have your starters-star players in the game when its basically over with. Why play those odds when there's more games to be played and you're going for a championship? Up 30 with under four minutes to go in the game, are you serious? :gucci:

His “success” was an owner giving him the green light to blatant punt 3 nba seasons in a row during a time where the lottery odds were much better than today.

Any Gm could do that. He took Joel Embiid with a lottery pick. WOW what a genius

Doc got so triggered by those 3-1 lead questions that he made his starters stay in down to the literal last minute of a 30+ walloping while getting concussed in the process, just to make it absolutely 10000000% certain he couldn't blow it. :dead: Reporters had that fool seeing ghosts out there from all those past playoff collapses so bad that he inadvertently doomed himself to another one for sure this year... :wow::mjlit:

He shouldn’t have been in there that late to begin with, especially knowing how bad his luck is. Doc was so worried about blowing another 3-1 lead he had his star in the game late while they was up a million already :unimpressed:

keep your starters in up 30 with 4 minutes left in the game Brehs. Doc Rivers, this one is on YOU!

Masked Embiid will be back as soon as he clears concussion protocol. Game 2 or 3.

Harden time to lead the 76ers to the promised land.

it's the whole team's fault for not ending the series in 4 or 5
