Yeah, the verse relistening now was pretty good. I just think the sidebars Joell makes about what his career woulda/coulda/shoulda been bring the whole thing down a little bit. He would have been awesome just bigging up NY and doing some battle stuff, but sometimes when these Slaughterhouse dudes rap about how they're the king of this shyt it falls flat- just cuz they're not. People aren't checkin for em like that.

People will say whatever they need to convince themselves that this verse is leagues below Kendrick Lamar's, not because they are overtly hating on Ortiz, but more due to the fact they spent the past 24 hours acting like Kendrick's verse was spit from the mouth of Jesus's lips, so of course Ortiz verse can't be too hot, right?
