If he's a great coach, when is this recurring problem going to get addressed? He seems to damn near have his pick of recruits. They were ass from the free throw line all season long. No need to make excuses about it.

Pretty insane they made it that far....they were an extremely easy team to scout and prep for...each kid's moves were predictable. But athleticism and skill can take you far.

its terrible to watch imo. dude's lettin that white boy cook because they can't rotate defensively, Harrison twins tryna bully their way into the lane, etc. the list goes on. nothing was impressive about this team from a coaching standpoint other than Cal getting them to believe in themselves.

So Cal is a great leader/intangibles guy but he sucks at X's and O's​

he's severely overrated imo. the guy had 7-8 all americans on his team not to mention most of them would be #1 options of other programs. ridiculous that he has so much talent and failed to win a title regardless of the age of the players.

i mean for fukk sakes the guy had

harrison twins
alex poythress
randle
johnson
cauley stein (when he wasn't injured)

not to mention other talented older players.

Cals a great leader of men but as a coach with coaching x and os dudes awful

no, they not getting the same talent he's getting...they might get 2 maybe 3 top players a year, this cat gets 5-6 at a time...i mean, you do realize this was rated as the best recruiting class ever right?....he had 5 outta the top 10-15...it was even more highly rated than the fab 5, just think about that for a sec...

on a side note: if he could talk all them into coming back, they'd go undefeated, easily....that's how much potential talent this team has...

Fab 5 didn't win a title either. You guys are always so quick to jump on a coach. He's not out there missing free throws.

I'm not about to shed tears and pass out sympathy cards for Cal having the burden of blending the best talent in the nation together year after year. His talent advantage is considerable, and he just lost to a second year coach with worse talent. Kentucky had the best, 3rd best, 4th best, and 5th best player on the court. "Great" coaches win that game, or there's no point in using the term "great" ever, at all.

No credit for beating Pitino 6 out of 7 times now and beating Michigan, Wisconsin and the most experienced team in the tournament, Wichita State? Why does he get shyt for losing the title game but not getting to another final four while going through the toughest draw?
