You clearly didn't watch the Mavericks play. Kobe didn't even score over 20 points in game 3 & 4.

Come on man, Kobe is the greatest scorer of his era. Bron dropped like 30 straight on one the greatest defenses of this generation. Yet you're telling me a 32 year old Shawn Marion shut them down???
Mavs defense that series was underrated, they had a great defensive scheme, designed by a great defensive minded Coach and anchored by Tyson Chandler, but they didn't put Marion or an island and tell him to lock somebody up.
And even with all that I think this last series more than showed that when Lebron is tuned in mentally, you're not stopping him.

So, holding Kobe(Defending Champs) under 20 points in Game 3 & 4 is not a good defense? And Holding Kobe to 23 points in game 2.
Remember the Mavs sweep the Lakers. Beat a KD, Westbrook, and Harden Thunder team in 5 games. But you want to compare the MAVS to an Chicago and Boston teams that went to game 7's with Miami is ridiculous. Look at the stats, the Mavericks beat the defending champs Lakers in 4 games and an offensive power Thunders in 5 games was because of their defense. Same thing against the Heat. Going thru the West is much harder than going thru the East.
