I don't understand why NBA teams be so quick to get rid of sunk cost type players, even if it means wasting assets like draft picks to do it.
Houston ain't contending for the remainder of his contract any way, why not just make his ass stay there and be some kind of mentor. Even if Wall is not cooperative in that role will the young kids even give a fukk? It's two years, let him pout and play 25-30 minutes a night

This. I've never seen a player as good as Wall be so weirdly disrespected, despite not being a choker or anything like that. Last year was not fun, but why has Wall's entire career been thrown out, like he wasn't an immensely skilled PG for years, with a lousy team most of the time, besides Beal and the occasional Porter? Unless he re-tears his achilles or suffers some other injury, why would he not be able to recapture his 27/10 playoff energy?
