I legit just heard today Bill Cosby went down to New Orleans in the aftermath of Katrina
And told black people suffering the worst natural (and man made [I don't believe the leevees were bombed, but, they should've been repaired in the 70s]) disaster in American history basically don't blame this hurricane for your problems, ya'll wasn't shyt before this.

Cosby’s views were widely celebrated in the press, and in many quarters of black America, especially among the black elite — the Afristocracy. Those few who were publicly critical of Cosby were said to be making excuses for the black poor while denying their need to be responsible for their own destinies. Others agreed with Cosby that the poor hampered their own progress because they were either too lazy or too ignorant to do better. In any case, Cosby, and a slew of critics, believed that the black poor suffered because they desired or deserved to be poor.

I'm not here to say Dr. Cosby is a rapist or innocent. But, ya'll need to keep it at "I don't think he did it" and move on. Stop trying to make him up to be a hero. Because his thought process about most of us is more in line with Kanye goofy ass than ya'll want to admit. He donated money and made a great show. That doesn't make his views any less disgusting. Him and the rest of these boojue Black folk who wanna run from the reality of black life.

Prior to the #MeToo movement Cosby was considered a fukking c00n and despised by AT LEAST 50% of the TheColi because of the Pound Cake speech and because of the lawsuit he SETTLED for drugging a chick.
The media never really delved into the case (this was before social media took off) and Cosby was allowed to continue with his life.
Then #MeToo happened, Hannibal Burress brought up Cosby's past allegations, and white people had ANOTHER bite at the apple and the opportunity go in on Cosby. They used Burress to go after Cosby. When Janice dikkinson did that interview on ET and posted that picture of him in that ugly ass robe it was a wrap
That's when the FLOODGATES opened and all these women came out the woodwork pointing fingers at Mr. Puddin' Pop.
When the white media and shea butter feminists started going in Cosby that's when you started to see people on TheColi start defending Cosby. Before that it was only nikkas that was into "respectability" politics defending Cosby on this site.

I disagree with what Cosby said about black names etc. I don't know why he talks like that and if it was anyone else, let's say Jesse Lee peterson, I'd be quick to say fck him to.
But I acknowledge that Bill Cosby is a massive black icon and one of the biggest pro-black philanthropists ever period.
For that alone, he is firmly one of ours and we should protect him as such, especially over such an unjust case in which he is being stripped of his legacy despite the damning lack of evidence.
This is pure injustice. We're watching a modern day lynching of one of our biggest black icons based on no evidence at all and you're there talking about 'bbbbut he made fun of our names and told us to pull our pants up ' are you gotdamn retarded?

It wasn't no open secret, its because Bill Cosby settled his case with the chick he went to court about, for $3.4 million, in 2006. Before that, you never heard anyone talking about it!
it was probably gossip, because she wasn't able to talk about it publicly, but we know people talk, so the people probably gossiped about it in small circles.
People have to start looking at timelines, and stop acting like everything just happened all at the same time.
I think he settled a case in 2006 for 3.4 million that never went to trial.
That's because Bill Cosby thought they made black people look bad with the cursing, and saying nikka, that's what a lot of people didn't like about Bill, they thought he was too uptight.
There is a rumor he is the reason why the "wayans brothers" show was taken off the air, he thought they were c00ning, and used his power to take them off the air. If its true, this is probably a spiritual payback. You can't be stopping people from working just because YOU don't like it.
Bill was cool with devils, used his power to control others, and thought he could play with them. I bet you he probably talked down to some of these women, and that brought anger towards him.

How did DL know if he wasn't even in Comedy in the 70's? All he knew was gossip, just like everyone else. People didn't like Bill Cosby because he thought he was better then them, so of course people would love to spread he was drugging women.
The one victim in 2004, her case was settled in 2006, and people knew he went to court for it, it just had a confidentiality agreement so it couldn't be discussed.

The conflict with Bill is the same conflict with OJ. Both are c00ns but it's more so about how the system is trying to get them than who it's getting. I don't give a fukk about Bill Cosby's fate at this point but I can't say he had a fair trial. And of course that money he amassed is gonna get fukked up in frivolous lawsuits. So it's not so much the person they are defending it's the way they are getting fukked by the system that's the problem because the system will do the same thing to somebody black we do fukk with.

I've already admitted The Cosby Show is one of the GOAT shows and he donated a lot of money. But, being this "icon" does us a lot better had he not carried himself like a rich white man from Alabama.
I also don't see evidence for a grand conspiracy. For now, I feel for his wife being embarassed. I don't know what happened in those bedrooms.
