IT and CTN are pretty easy :francis:. If you're a civilian who studied for Network+ or CompTiA+ then you will do fine in A school. CTN is actually easier than IT. They spoon feed you the information at JCAC. My best friend is a CTN and the dude is dumber than rocks (no offense to him, love him though).
So thats all you think IT is... A+ and N+....

ESPECIALLY CTN:mjlol:

I know dumb people that are IT's/CTNs and usually they're low in rank (haven't learned real shyt) OR old heads that were mostly comms and have no idea about actual IT. If it was easy then I suppose every nikka complaining would be one then.

Don't let your ONE homeboy give you judgement on an ENTIRE rate that you never did shyt in or worked around, just because you think he's stupid. When I say LS is a cake job is because I work side by side with LS's everyday... a good portion of my friends were LS's. I know they don't really do shyt

Sounds like your mind's all made up, but i def recommend the free d2 college education over the military....especially since you're good at school. Spending these formative, exploratory years dribbling a ball is a much better proposition to spending it dodging bullets:yeshrug:

nikka you really have no clue wtf you're talking about, do you:mjlol:

Nobody makes you wake up. You get your ass to work or muster when you need to be there and thats it. No one gives a fukk when you go to sleep or wake up in your spare time

Same as a regular job, gotdamn:gucci:

Oh ok so boot camp doesn’t exist you just walk in and they’re giving out jobs now and you make your own schedule thanks for the update
:heh:
:gucci: breh are you trollin or you just don't know what the fukk you are talking about?

I don't understand why people speaking on shyt they have no clue about.

My dumber cousins who weren’t smart enough for college are/where in different branches of the military. I guess they’ve been lying to me about boot camp, and you all went to some nice fancy country club where you answered to no one and made your own hours. And people are openly choosing to go to shyt holes like Korea and Guam :dead:

Apparently the new military, you don’t have to go to boot camp

Depends on what you’re doing and what cert you’re going for

No it’s not THAT hard but it can be. What certs have you got?

Really it just takes a lot of comprehension, actual interest, and studying as well as knowing the styles of the tests.

And i dont know what you mean by customer finance or whatever. In the Navy we called them Yomen or some shyt... basically YN. I heard they merged them to some other shyt. They basically handled our pay and thats all I cared to know (and also to get cool with them so if you ever had issues with your check they would handle your shyt before others)

Well AF had their equivalents in there with us. It was a large, joint command and despite our command having multiple buildings on multiple bases, it was mainly TS SCIFS so yes.. they were in there with us.

And I’m cool with black people striving for shyt I just don’t want to pressure everyone into IT if they suck at it (and we had a lot of those)

I'll be coming outta school with only Sec+ but the standard courses I have to take cover alotta shyt like networking fundamentals, python scripting, active directory, Windows and Linux CLI, heavy powershell use, aggregator and log training, so mostly a emphasis on security and log/event/user mgmt.

I will be in ops so alot of our trng. Is contingent on the mission. I've seen the standard CCNA and CISSP courses be apart of our trng. Seen stuff like Linux admin, industrial control system courses, just varies.

And yes our finance has the same role. But yea very few of them have TS. Very few.

And I feel you. I mean shyt at the end of the day, most career fields pay the same and all.:manny: (tho there has been talk of AF cyber OPS getting special duty pay)

I justbdont wanna foster the idea of get in and get a cake job and then nikkas dont ever get out because they have no civilian options or they have very little lateral movement in the civilian world when they get out....end up stuck contracting as a civie at their last duty station cuz they cant go anywhere else and make any money.

Bruh... bootcamp isn’t real military

It’s just bootcamp

Yeah I have or had a lot of those. I’m actually trying to recertify Sec+ now but that was literally one of the easiest certs Ive ever took

And my school now teaches and gives certs for a lot of those as well. I’m also a Windows certified professional or some shyt (I hate windows).

Course I just completed tonight was a CENT refresher (I have that too) and now taking some refreshers for my sec + (about a 24hr worth of lectures).

My main goal is the CEH though

And if it’s rare then thats cool bruh... just letting you know it’s possible

I spend more time around ITs than with my rate.

:heh: Bruh . Boot camp is 6-8 weeks ( not sure which it is right now ) for the AF. That’s shyt is literally like a dream to me . After boot camp you go learn your job in a school/dorm setting . After that it’s a regular job. And idk why you shytting on Guam and Korea. A lot of brothers go over there and live there best life. I never been to either but my boy
Used to tell me that they were set up on villas in Guam partying and haveinf a blast every night .

nikkas shytting on South Korea and Guam but never been :mjlol:

@Colgatebrah ill break it down for you man if you choose the free education route which isn’t bad you have to be on ya ps n qs with class n shyt can’t fall behind you gotta stay focus and on track to graduate idk your financial situation but as long as you ain’t going hungry scrapy by to eat or whatever struggle with cash then do it

Only use the military as a last resort or if you don’t really have a plan with life and you want to get out of a situation the military is always going to be there until you hit a certain age I forget the limit

Lastly if you take out student loans don’t have the military pay for the loans if you decided to join later take the gi bill and when you graduate with a 4 year degree go for officer

If I’m tryna live in SD or some where nice in the U.S what are the best locations

If I’m tryna smash every bad ass female moving what’s the best job

If you want to go overseas, they will send yo ass overseas. The AF is the most technical branch outta the 5, which is a good thing because any job you get while you're in can transition into the the civilian world but you wont really get to shoot shyt unless you go for PJ (pararescue) , they get to shoot shyt and get shot at. but i heard the training is hard af to become 1.

why not join the army or the marines and be a grunt?

If you want to go to SD and shoot shyt, go marines.
