I wouldn't tell breh to do coast guard because you often will be designated as a non-rate painting fukking ships before you get your job...and that could take years...
Air Force is just hiring mechanics and cops right now...
Navy is the best bet right now...
Pick a rate that doesn't be on ships and live out in San Diego fukking Asian bytches...

The benefits of going to the military are crazy and the skills you gain from military experience as well. I would have took the scholarship but if you didn’t want to dribble a ball in a small cac town in the middle of nowhere I can’t blame you

Like others have said, pick a job that translates to the civilian side, put in your 20 years, retire, go civilian, retire again, go contractor (or go contractor then civilian)
Free school (depending on what school you go to and how many classes you take you can actually pocket some money as well)
VA loan (low rates 0% down) makes it easier to get into real estate
Living stipend + your pay(stipend not taxes if I remember correctly)
You just gotta go in with a plan. Get in get out get that check for the rest of your life + job security (veterans get preference for govt jobs ) + gi bill+ VA loan.

My homie is in the military. When he got in, he knew he wanted to take advantage of every benefit the military has to offer. It changed his life. If you want to join the military but didn't get into a military school, you got to be smart with your decisions once you get in.
