Chris Brown reminds me of that white boy with blue hair that does all the dunks

He does it sure but it’s not compelling
He does it sure but it doesn’t look cool

He’s never been the biggest star on earth
There is no year he’s been active where his album defined a year

If that’s your thing by all means!…

20 years in and we can’t even decide which one of his albums mattered in the grand scheme :yeshrug:
His greatest hits album is gon ring off like a mug. 17 or so songs, all hits from Excuse Me Miss to Go Crazy with two new cuts.

Some artists are best for compilations, not everyone can craft an album.

Confessions

There you go. People act dumb when they know the score. Usher, like Chris, had several albums that produced multiple hits but Confessions was the album that people who weren’t even R&B or Usher fans were checking for. It was the or at least one of the standout albums of 04. It defined the time period certainly. There’s been other albums by other artists since that have been exalted in the same fashion

Chris has none
Michael has two

I'm not talking Jackson 5 Mike. Jackson 5 Mike had Berry Gordy and Motown creating the hits. Undoubtedly talented but CB woulda won as the lead singer on that team too.

I'm talking the first 4 albums Mike dropped solo. I seen dudes in this thread pretending Chris Brown and Exclusive aren't clearing those albums. Stop. Quincy Jones and Teddy Riley is why Mike is heads and shoulders above CB. The shyt he put out before he started working with them is not higher in quality than CBs work.
He dropped those albums as a kid Breh lol

I think they were talking about raw talent

Chris Brown was like 15/16 when he dropped his first album which had high schools and jr highs in a chokehold and he could still to this day sell out shows touring off of.

It wasn't even close when they were those ages. Brehs in this thread really being disrespectful to CB pretending like teen CB wasn't putting out higher level music than teen Mike. Mike took off and gapped CB once he hooked up with Quincy Jones.

Nope. You got time to go back and forth with dudes when it's time to talk about careers which to me is a crazy conversation but don't want to address all this nonsense about young Mike being better than young CB. False. That first CB album clears everything young Mike was putting out. Not even close. Y'all talking outside of yourselves acting like it's the other way around. Maybe you were too old to see the impact, maybe you're too old to be dealing with folks who still to this day know all the words to Say Goodbye, but nobody from that time period was checking for teen Mike like that. Facts.
