Those Snyder emails more than likely contained conversations with other teams and owners, so the NFL is trying to control the narrative like they always do. If the heat gets too bad, then they’ll pick and choose what they want to release to the media that doesn’t make them look bad in the light.

The NFL and the Raiders might not have a choice but to pay off Gruden to go away as any potential lawsuit would open the door for all of those undisclosed emails to be revealed. As we’re seeing during the Rams lawsuit, the NFL does not want certain bits of information made public.
