This is false. It's his best chance, but not the only one. And again, you're assuming that Jones wouldn't set up the takedown. Great wrestlers only attempt takedowns when they know you'll be off-balance.

You're assuming that Jones would dive straight for the takedown. That's the mistake all of you Tyson stans are making. Jones would soften Tyson up with kicks and keep him out of range. Then when the time's right, Jones can take him down or put Tyson in a Muay Thai clinch.

Nah just thinking logically.. all them nikkas Tyson fought were BOXERS.. knowing all Tyson is gonna do is punch is definitely an advantage ESPECIALLY if i'm a trained MMA fighter..

I dislike Jon Jones, but if he were to fight smart, he would win pretty easily. Jones throws around 220 pound wrestling powerhouses with EASE, imagine would he would do to Tyson. Now if Tyson lands clean, it would be all over. But Jones is not stupid, he would avoid striking with Tyson entirely.

If this were to ever happen, I would expect Jones to instantly shot for a double or clinch and throw Tyson to the floor. He would then unleash some ground and pound [elbows, punches, knees, etc] or choke him till he's unconscious.

What you saw from Tyson in the 80s was the tamest he possibly could have been in a ring, restricted by boxing gloves and boxing rules. This dude was the real life incredible hulk circa '88. This MMA hype has to come down. Don't get me wrong, they can brawl.......but Tyson?

There is literally no one on earth you can compare tyson to in his prime. I'm sorry but all of these comparisons fail to mention the fact that we talkin about mike tyson. Not some average boxer but a dude who never went beyond the 4th round in any fight before prison because everybody thought the same thing all of yall thought, that his size was a disadvantage. jones would have to work to take tyson out because he cant swap it out with him. Also who's to say all tyson can do is punch? Though im sure he would try not to.get in a wrestling match, im not sure jones could close the gap to shoot. People make it seem like tyson wasnt the absolute best at what he did and like he wasnt undefeated in his prime and nobody had an answer for him.
