To all the people saying Tyson, what can he do when the fight hits the ground? Other than get submitted or elbowed/punched/kicked to a bloody pulp. :D Tyson would get absolutely tooled if he gets put on his back.

It's Mike Tyson, what makes you think the fight is ever going to hit the ground?

What makes you think that Mike wont land a single punch? shyt, what makes you think that Jones can take a Tyson punch?

Even if he gets taken down,do you think that He's really gonna just lay there and be like :manny: you got me breh?

I think a lot of people are confusing kimbo slice for mike tyson... There's a reason tyson was the youngest heavyweight champ ever. nikka was basically a child puttin grown ass men to sleep, not to mention one of the few people ive ever seen knock a nikka out with a body shot breh... A body shot

Why u don't u MMA fans just choose any MMA fighter and say they could beat Tyson...I gave Bruce Lee the win cuz I grew up on that nikka but Jon Jones:laff:...a takedown? Who gives a shyt about a damn takedown when as your takin me down one punch from me will break your fukin rib nikka:childplease:...I laugh at a takedown when I can knock you out from my back...that's how powerful Tyson wuz....a leg kick:laff: Tyson coulda been wheelchair bound and knocked nikkas out,a weak knee supposed to stop em?

And stop usin James Toney as an example,u dudes said Brock Lesnar couldn't do shyt and he climbed to the top....let me just grab Stone Cold Steve Austin and train em for a little bit since WWE wrestlers have a history of taking over the sport:rudy:

I can dodge a kick if I know sumbodys gon try to kick me...Tyson wouldn't even acknowledge Jones hands....Jones would realize he ain't gettin none of them kicks off and would try to throw punches since mike ain't payin attention...mike would laugh at his attempt and punch a hole in this nikkas chestplate.

You actually believe the bullshyt your spewing?

Jon Jones is a great fighter, but I'm going with Tyson. People point to the fact Tyson had trouble with taller fighters and might cite Lennox Lewis, but Lennox Lewis was probably around 250 lbs. Buster Douglas was 230 lbs. Jon Jones is 205. That additional weight makes a significant difference. Tyson was a smaller guy in his weight class fighting guys much bigger than him. Jon Jones is a big light heavyweight. If Jon Jones moved up to heavyweight and has a similar performance, I'd give him more consideration.

We're talking about Jones just running up and grabbing Tyson... Not going to happen that easily. Jones can grapple with guys in the light heavyweight division so effectively because he's at the upper edges of that weight class. Grappling with a short, stocky Tyson who had significant speed and power at his size is a completely different matter... and who also happens to outweigh you by 10 lbs and is known for knocking out guys with more heavily padded gloves that may weigh 230 to 250 lbs.

Street fight, no rules Jones doesn't have a prayer. Tyson, I doubt Bones has ever had a street fight in his life

in this situation i take tyson.

as in mma rules in a take down you can not strike a person in the back of their head or neck region.
so when jon jones goes to take down tyson.

which will have to occur for jones to have any chance.
as he has no chance against a stalking tyson.

when jones shoots, for tyson.

tyson prison punches jones in jones's weaker lateral, and back of the head and neck.

which, causes a signficant amount of pressure and damage.

plus the instance of the fray.
the smaller tyson takes the puncher's chance advantage of in the fray.

then, responds and loads up fire to jones.

which quickly ends the fight.

The argument could be made in either direction. A lot of mma training translates very well to a one on one street fight, there's a reason the military trains in mma. A well timed front kick to the knee for instance especially on someone who isn't trained to expect or react to it is likely a game ender because the pcl is fairly easy to take out and Jones had Rampage looking to the ref like :damn: is this legal? After front kicking his knee in their fight, imagine throwing that towards a shorter guy with intent to maim

On the other hand in his pre prison prime Tyson wasn't some stationary brawling target and even with the reach advantage it'd be tough to stay at a safe distance against someone that fast AND relentless meaning Jones at some point is going to be in close quarters and I don't like his chances there because the margin of error is slim as fukk with how fast Tyson's combination punching was, he wouldn't be loading up just one punch uppercuts and hooks you don't see coming are the ones that turn off your utilities

tyson can put his fingers in his eye, but so can jbj, and seeing as jones sort of does that in mma fights anyways I don't see how mike gone have an advantage.

Remember they both goin all out here, its a brawl so jbj isn't going to think "well according to mma rules I can't kick a downed oponent in the head" he's gonna be doin scrappy shyt aswell.

and yall are really ignoring the huge size/reach difference here. jones is 6'4 with a 84 inch reach, meanwhile mike is 5'10 71 inch reach. and this isn't boxing, if mike try to close the distance he has to deal with kicks/takedowns/elbows from a dhalsim nikka that he has little to no defense against
Would joness be able to touch a prime bobbing and weaving Tyson, he wouldn't know what to do with Tyson closing the distance so fast, and that p*ssy ass holding out your left won't work on a boxer, let alone one of the elite of the elites, If Machida a kicking nikka fighting out of a Karate stance had Jones apprehensive, touched his chin buckled him, how do yall seem to think Iron Mike a person who had the deadliest combo of power and speed can't do the same, in a street fight with all the space in the world with no cage to help takedowns:what:

No he wouldn't. Once Tyson tapped him it'd be a wrap. Lesnar's chin is trash.

actually, his chin was pretty damn good. he could take big shots, it's not like he was getting ko'd left and right. he just didn't react well to getting tagged.
